The light, accompanied by rays, descends into the center of one's own heart. One receives the empowerment of wisdom and awareness. The obscurations of the mind are purified. One is empowered to meditate on the completion stage of the channels and winds and inner heat. The potential to attain the fruit—the Vajra Dharmakaya of the heart—is placed in the continuum. The syllable HRIH (藏文,梵文天城体:ह्रीः,梵文罗马拟音:hrīḥ,汉语字面意思:舍) at the navel, along with rays of light, dissolves into the center of my navel. One receives the empowerment of speech. The obscurations of the three doors, equally, are purified. One is empowered to meditate on the path of Kadak Trekchö and Lhündrup Tögal. One is considered fortunate to attain the fruit—the Svabhavikakaya, the essence of wisdom Vajra. Thus, one contemplates. Then, again, with a feeling of intense devotion, simultaneously, a warm, red ray of light emanates from the heart of Guru Rinpoche. The moment it touches the heart of oneself, visualized as the Wisdom Dakini in the secret place, one's body and mind become completely blissful, dissolving into light, transforming into a red drop of light the size of a mustard seed, rising like a spark, dissolving into the heart of Guru Rinpoche, and one rests in the state of mingled heart and mind as much as possible. Thus, the essence of meditating on Guru Yoga is to continuously recognize the manifestations of the Guru in the three doors and in the three: appearance, sound, and awareness. When walking, one contemplates all the fields of accumulation as the Yidam Guru on the right shoulder, making them the basis for circumambulation. When sitting, one contemplates the Guru at the crown of the head, making them the object of supplication. When eating and drinking, one contemplates the Guru at the throat, offering the first portion. When sleeping, one contemplates the Guru in the heart, concealing sleep in the clear light. When encountering good circumstances and pleasant feelings arise, one mingles one's heart and mind with the Guru and rests in that state, without arrogance or pride. When suffering and adverse conditions occur, one should act in the same way, without becoming discouraged or resentful. When harm from spirits and demons occurs, one should also rest the harming agent of delusion and one's own mind in the state of being inseparable from the three hearts of the Guru, and so forth. By doing so, the bonds of hope and fear, acceptance and rejection, are severed. Obstacles and hindrances are pacified in their own place. Appearances are understood to be without inherent existence. Whatever one does becomes an accumulation of merit, so by this alone, the continuum will be liberated, making it a crucial and profound point. After receiving the four empowerments in this way, one recites "Glorious Root Guru," etc., and "In all my lives," etc.
