The Bodhisattva Maitreya, white and yellow, cools the burning heat of afflictions, holding a Naga tree in his right hand and a bell resting on his left hip, surpassing the past extinct dharmas, manifesting the nature that is manifestly clear as the previous dharmas. Not clinging to the past time, as a symbol of entering the wisdom of seeing, the white and yellow incense satisfies with the fragrance of discipline, therefore holding an incense holder. The sense of hearing surpasses that of a rolled-up leek, the sense of hearing is undiminished, serving as a basis for the manifestation of the five objects, the red and yellow that eliminates obscurations, teaching the Dharma to sentient beings, therefore holding a scripture box in the right hand and a bell resting on the left hip. The present sense is superior to the manifest appearance, all dharmas are meaningless, not clinging to the present time, as a symbol of entering the wisdom of seeing, holding red and yellow flowers. To symbolize the limbs of enlightenment, holding a garland of flowers, that is, holding a coral tree. The sense of smell surpasses that of a copper needle being sewn, the sense of smell serving as a basis for entering the five objects, the Bodhisattva Samantabhadra, red and green, fulfilling the wishes of sentient beings, therefore holding a jewel in the right hand and a bell resting on the left hip. Surpassing the manifestation of the future realm, knowing the future unarisen dharmas as if placing a myrobalan in the palm of the hand, not clinging to the future time, to enter the wisdom of seeing, Aloke red and green, dispelling the darkness of ignorance, therefore holding a lamp. The sense of taste surpasses that of a half-moon, knowing the supreme taste of speech, serving as a basis for entering all five objects, Manjushri white and green. Because afflictions are abandoned, holding an উৎপལ་ (Tibetan: উৎপལ་, Sanskrit: utpala, Romanized Sanskrit: utpala, Literal meaning: utpala flower) in the right hand, and a bell resting on the left hip. The four uncertain times of birth, the wisdom of equality, from the state of self-arisen appearance, as a symbol of abiding in the unchanging nature of Dharma, fragrant water white and green. Because the stains of habitual tendencies are washed away, therefore holding a fragrant conch shell. All eight Bodhisattvas are seated in a half-lotus posture with the right leg slightly extended, and the consorts embrace the lords in a half-lotus posture with the left leg slightly extended. Those peaceful ones also possess nine beautiful postures, divine substances.
