In the vessel as vast as the sky, The drink of immortal nectar is filled like an ocean, The food and drink are piled up like Mount Meru, Hundreds of tormas adorned with beautifully arranged flesh and blood. Offering to the hordes of the sons of gods and their retinues. May all beings be liberated from the demons of the sons of gods, Having attained the body of the Bhagavan Amitabha, the pure Dharmakaya of discriminating wisdom! <Recite and strike as before, accumulate the count> Alas! Made from five kinds of precious grains, Beautiful in form, melodious in sound, clear in mind and senses, A collection of all beauty, possessing much wealth, Hundreds of powerful ransom offerings possessing hundreds of qualities. Offering to the hordes of the Lord of Death and their retinues. May all beings be liberated from the demons of the Lord of Death, Having attained the body of the Bhagavan Amoghasiddhi, the pure Dharmakaya of accomplishing wisdom! <After the count of hundreds is finished> Although the self-nature is pure and of one taste, For the army of the four demons who are like illusions, These four hundred offerings, like magical illusions, Are offered with a sound like thunder. Please accept these offerings that are like emanations, The pure Dharmakaya of the wisdom of the Dharmadhatu, May all beings be victorious over the enemies of the four demons, Having attained the body of the Bhagavan Vairocana! May the obstacles of the four maras be pacified for all beings! The wheel, the jewel, the queen, the minister, And the elephant, the supreme horse, the general, the seven precious treasures, These offerings of the seven precious emblems of sovereignty, I offer to the assembly of the four maras and their retinues. May the obstacles of the four maras be pacified for all beings! The wheel, the umbrella, the victory banner, the white conch shell, And the golden fish, the glorious knot, the vase, the white lotus, These eight auspicious symbols filling the sky, I offer to the assembly of the four maras and their retinues. May the obstacles of the four maras be pacified for all beings! Thus recite. Then, if there is a torma adorned with flesh and blood <There is a tradition of four hundred red tormas for this>, purify and cleanse it. Bless it with the three grains. Through the blessings of, and the unfailing truth of dependent origination, and the power of pure offerings, may the obstacles of the four maras be pacified for beings! May the armies and retinues of the four maras accept this offering torma, etc. Please do no evil deeds! Year omens, month omens, Rahu omens, and star omens, clashes, great losses, and fears, may the armies of the four maras be turned against the enemy. Substances endowed with form, sound, smell, taste, and touch, may they generate wondrous great bliss for the six senses. This feast offering endowed with all desires, I offer to the armies and retinues of the four maras. Having been satisfied with food through body, mind, and samadhi, may they partake of uncontaminated samadhi food. Third, the subsequent actions are two: the ransom offering and the concluding ritual. First, make a ransom offering from rice gruel or flour, and substitute the ransom for procreation. Gather ransom treasures, various grains, various foods, various clothes, fine wine, golden drinks, etc., sprinkle with cleansing substances, purify, bless, and offer with Sambhara. Alas! This precious, beautiful, adorned ransom offering, possessing the essence of five precious grains, possessing the qualities of aggregates, elements, sense bases, and faculties, this ransom offering adorned with various ornaments, through the assemblies of mantras, samadhi, and mudras, having blessed it to fill all of space, as a ransom for us teachers, disciples, patrons, and retinues, I offer to the armies of the four maras. Please accept this wealthy and beautiful ransom offering! Please accept this wonderful and beautiful ransom offering! Please accept this pleasing ransom offering! Please accept this offering endowed with hundreds of qualities! May all obstacles and hindrances of us teachers, disciples, patrons, and retinues be pacified! Alas! This precious, beautiful, adorned ransom offering, rivaling Vaishravana and possessing great wealth, born from the perfection of the powers of the three realms, which conquers the black hordes, I offer this as a ransom to us, the vidyadharas and mantra holders, and to the patrons of the offering. Please accept this beautiful ransom offering that surpasses human ransoms, and may the armies of the four maras be turned against the hateful enemy. If there are any captives, release them immediately! If there are any bonds, liberate them immediately! If cursed by demons, open the curse!
