I constantly observe that; With a mountain-like way of looking, I observe the arising of the light of awareness; With an arrow-like way of looking, I firmly establish awareness in immutability; With a bird's-eye view-like way of looking, I observe external phenomena as fragments; With a jackal-like way of looking, I observe without day and night. Hey Vajra Holder, listen also! With a knot-like awareness, I clearly see the body and senses as one; With an arrow-like awareness, I draw the winds and awareness inward; With a conch-shell-like awareness, I clearly see the sensory doors as one; With a peg-like awareness, I subdue the vital points of the body and senses; With a victory banner-like awareness, I entrust the lineage to the land; With a mirror-like awareness, I observe that itself is increasingly superior. Hey Vajra Holder, you listen! Whoever becomes accustomed to these, the afflictions are self-purified; Conceptualization itself becomes non-conceptual; Complete purity is the path. The six afflictions, such as ignorance, Having subdued them with six ways of abiding, Having eradicated them with six ways of looking, Having completely eliminated them with six awarenesses, Therefore, the afflictions are self-purified. Just as water carries away water, Just as fire burns fire, Just as wind drives away wind, Just as earth presses down on earth, One's own antidote is oneself. Thus, in the Great Array, the essential point of self-purification of afflictions is determined, the eighth (chapter) is complete. In the Indian language: Samatipa Taki. In the Tibetan language: Superior Samadhi. Homage to the meaning abiding in its own place! Abiding in nature, there is no memory; Realizing manifestation, there is no acceptance or rejection; Exhausting the mind-stream, there is no consciousness; In instantaneousness, there is no objective intellect. Emaho! With the instruction of exhausting memory, the mind should abide in meditation; With the instruction of exhausting thought, speech should abide in meditation; With the instruction of exhausting objects, the body should abide in meditation; With the instruction of exhausting elements, afflictions are self-exhausted, and it is taught that their signs are manifested. With meditation relying on external objects, external attachment is cut; With meditation relying on the inner mind, inner attachment is cut; With meditation relying on the intermediate body, attachment to both inner and outer is cut. In the Great Vajra Array, the essential point of superior meditation is determined.
