In a dense forest called "ཞེས་པའི་," there was a cave where Śrī Pāda (Śrīpāda), the very large footprint of the Buddha, was located. When the footprint festival was held there, twelve thousand monks and others would gather, and the teachings of both the Lesser and Greater Vehicles were very prosperous from the past to the present. This is a digression. Secondly, how did this teaching come to be transmitted in the human realm through the lineage of oral transmission? Generally, around the end of the second common council, in the time of King Padma under the sun, the noble Manjushri appeared in the form of a monk in the house of King Candra Rakṣita of the land of Oḍiviśa, and taught various Mahayana scriptures, and also left a scripture. Some believe that it was the "Holy Eight Thousand Verse Prajñāpāramitā Sutra." The mantra practitioners say that it was the "Compendium of Reality." This was the beginning of the emergence of the Mahayana in the human realm after the passing of the teacher. From that time onwards, the tantras of action and conduct also appeared slightly, but they were not fully popularized. Then, after the third council, in the time of the son of King Kaniṣka, five hundred Mahayana teachers appeared, all of whom received teachings from the Lord of Secrets and others, and all of them attained miraculous powers. The western king Lakṣa Aśva invited them and built a temple on the top of a mountain called Abhu, and had them reside there. His own five hundred intelligent attendants also renounced and studied the Mahayana Dharma together from those five hundred teachers. There, the king thought to write down the scriptures, and asked how much there was. Generally, it is impossible to measure, but here there are one hundred trillion. The king said that although there were many, they should be written down. So everything was written down and offered to them. From that time onwards, the Mahayana became very prosperous, and the secret practice of the tantras of action and conduct also became very common, and those teachers obtained many mantra scriptures from various places and propagated them. The Unsurpassed Yoga Tantras were later obtained by one or two people with excellent fortune from the remaining deities and others through transcendence.

Because of the teachings and his own solitary practice, he attained accomplishment, without leaving any subsequent instructions, and without any gradual transmission of lineage, etc., so let alone being publicly propagated, even his name is not known by anyone. When the Lord of Secrets turned the wheel of the secret mantra for the five lineages on Mount Rimala, King Ja of Sahora was practicing the outer tantras of secret mantra, and seven wonderful dream omens occurred, namely: the body, speech, and mind signs merged, precious scriptures descended, Dharma debates took place, everyone proclaimed him as holy, a great offering was made, jewels rained down, and the Buddha prophesied on the earth. Thus it is said. Regarding King Ja, the Buddha prophesied in all the sutras and tantras, in the later continuation of the Shri Chakrasamvara Root Tantra, it says: After I disappear from here, one hundred and twelve years later, in the place known as the land of the three gods, like the essence of the teachings, in the eastern border of Jambudvipa, a king named Ja, through the power of great merit, will appear, and the Lord of Secrets will cause him to appear. Similarly, it is also mentioned in the General Sutra and the Gongdü Sutra. Regarding King Ja, some consider him to be the great Indrabhuti who received direct empowerment from the teacher, some consider him to be his son, and others consider him to be the intermediate Indrabhuti, and so on, there are various opinions, because ordinary people cannot imagine the emanations of the saints, so even if it is like this, it is acceptable. However, according to the times, it is said to be contemporary with the teacher Kukkuraja, if so, it seems that it should be the intermediate Indrabhuti. The feet of the great accomplished Lāva and this king, whether they are one or different, are in any case contemporary, and are also roughly contemporary with Rolpai Dorje, Tso Kye, and Jalandharipa. In any case, when this king was practicing the yoga of the lower tantra, in accordance with the previous dream omens, actually in the king's palace, there descended the scriptures of the great treasure of secret mantras, mainly Buddha Samayoga, and an image of the Lord of Secrets one cubit high. After that, after praying, the stone
