It shows that it is dedicated to enlightenment. If dedicating with the manner of characteristics and attachment, it becomes poison. For example, just like poisonous food, there is no dedication for those with attached concepts. Why is that? Because attachment is with poison, with characteristics, with cause, with condition. If dedicating in that way, it becomes slandering the Tathagata. It is also not speaking as the Tathagata said, and not speaking according to the Dharma. As it is said. Also in the verses of the "Compendium": If there are no characteristics, it is the dedication of enlightenment. Just like eating delicious food mixed with poison, the Victorious Ones said that attachment to white Dharma is also like that. As it is said and so on, no matter the object of dedication, the object of dedication, the agent of dedication, if dedicating by attaching to the characteristics of the three circles, it is impure. The second, the completely pure dedication is the dedication of the three circles without attachment. Then, what is the manner of non-attachment to the three? In the Sutra Requested by Ocean of Wisdom: For whom, there is no thought of being a Buddha, no thought of being self, no thought of being the teachings of prophecy, this is called the complete purification of the three circles. Ocean of Wisdom, also, what is the complete purification of the three circles? For whom, there is no grasping as self, no grasping as sentient beings, no grasping as Dharma. Furthermore, the complete purification of the three circles is for whom, there is no grasping as name, no grasping as form, no grasping as object. Furthermore, the complete purification of the three circles is for the past, knowing it is exhausted, for the future, knowing it is not yet arrived, for the present arising, knowing it is without abiding. Furthermore, the complete purification of the three circles is for the body, knowing it is like an image, for speech, knowing it is like an echo, for mind, knowing it is like an illusion. Furthermore, the complete purification of the three circles is for the aggregates, knowing them as the aggregates of Dharma and equality, for the realms, knowing them as the realm of Dharma and equality, for the sources, individually realizing them as like empty villages. Furthermore, the complete

Those who have faith in emptiness, believe in the signless, and have no doubt about the wishless, their wisdom is like the ocean, the three spheres are completely pure, and all dharmas will become completely pure. As it is said, dedicating without fixating on signs will also become a way of completely dedicating to pure Bodhi. As stated in the Mother Sutra: If a Bodhisattva Mahasattva has no knowledge of the Buddhas, the Blessed Ones, the roots of virtue, the manifested actions, the generation of the mind, etc., and does not fixate on signs, then these roots of virtue are dedicated to the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. In this way, the perception of the Bodhisattva Mahasattva will not be reversed, the mind will not be reversed, and the view will not be reversed. Thus it is said. Subhuti said: Maitreya, for a son or daughter of a noble family of the Bodhisattva vehicle who practices in this Prajnaparamita, wishing not to slander the Tathagata, one should dedicate in this way: Just as those Tathagatas, Arhats, perfectly enlightened Buddhas, have understood the nature, self, and characteristics of these roots of virtue with unsurpassed Buddha wisdom, knowing and fully knowing, and in whatever Dharma nature they exist, I also rejoice accordingly. Just as those Buddhas, the Blessed Ones, have understood, so too shall I dedicate these roots of virtue to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Thus, a son or daughter of a noble family of the Bodhisattva vehicle should dedicate these roots of virtue to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. By dedicating in this way, one will not slander the Tathagata, one will speak as the Tathagata has spoken, and speak according to the Dharma. The dedication of a Bodhisattva Mahasattva who practices in this way will be without poison and will become the ultimate nectar. Thus it is said. Those Prajnaparamita...
