若为阅读、书写、讽诵之目的而赠予他人，则当知此功德尤为增上。如是等等广为宣说。如是之经函施予他人，依此而行闻思修三事，于世间，佛之教法长久住世，以此因缘，众生亦于暂时与究竟之安乐，从一切门增长广大。故此教法与一切有情之命脉，如是之纯净功德之事物，当知其他任何事物皆无法比拟。尤其于五浊炽盛之时，于众生之心，以心之缝隙，百千万俱胝之自在者所掌控之主人，以非向菩提之友善之欺骗之柔和手段，设置不可见之巨大住所，心中思虑何者趋向恶趣，何者堕入恶趣，何者将堕入恶趣，并以贪欲炽盛、嗔恨炽盛、愚痴炽盛、我慢炽盛、嫉妒炽盛等，于非福德之处欢喜，并致力于行持，故于圣法衰败之事，不久将显现于眼前之当今之时，如是为使善逝之珍贵教法长久住世，参与此等方法之著作，并以巨大之努力守护执持，则利益尤为殊胜，乃安住于大地之诸佛子之无上行持之方式。如《旧译普贤密续》云：轮回业与缘之所支配，于何处圣法衰败之处，火聚利刃之锋亦可超越，直至究竟亦当守护圣法。又如《圣观世音菩萨名号大乘经》云：何者此后执持此殊胜经典，彼等恒常为与我相应之子，纵然百千佛陀赞叹彼等，然亦无法穷尽彼等之赞叹。ུར།། 如此说。若受持断命至尊之法，则具威力与力量，且具精进。不劣者于一切处皆能行。承事供养百千佛。若受持断命至尊之法，则具最极美妙之身形，且具智慧。于人世间受最极之承事供养。国王、智者、贤者所赞叹。如此说。无论何者，对于千佛，以及百和俱胝之数量，如恒河沙数之劫，于如是之劫中供养，胜过世间怙主所说之，无论何者受持断命之圣法，日夜受持，彼之福德尤为殊胜。于正法衰败之时受持正法者，往昔一切诸佛，以及安住佛之智慧者，彼即供养我。圣法坏灭之时，守护导师之教法者，于俱胝千劫中，彼等亦不衰损。将感受身体之安乐，彼亦不被疾病所侵扰。亦不被夺走。若守护导师之教法，则具足圆满之忍辱，以及彼之明晰与柔和，且将慈爱众生。若受持断命至尊之法，则安乐与喜悦之宝藏将增多。将获得往昔之侍奉之事，且将完全舍弃无暇之八处。若受持断命至尊之法，譬如虚空为星辰所遍满，恒常以名称作为铠甲，且将具足极其悦耳动听之妙音。若受持断命至尊之法，无论何处无有心之安乐且极其痛苦，彼即舍弃彼种卑劣之种姓。富裕且极其安乐，具足受用。若受持断命至尊之法，则具威力与力量，且具精进。不劣者于一切处皆能行。承事供养百千佛。若受持断命至尊之法，则具最极美妙之身形，且具智慧。于人世间将受最极之承事供养。国王、智者所赞叹。若受持断命至尊之法，则具最极美妙之身形。

If given to others for the purpose of reading, writing, or reciting, then know that this merit will increase even more. Thus, and so on, it is widely proclaimed. By relying on giving such Dharma texts to others, the Buddha's teachings will remain in the world for a long time through the activities of hearing, contemplating, and meditating. From this cause, beings will also increase and expand in all ways of temporary and ultimate happiness. Therefore, this, which is the sole lifeline of the teachings and all sentient beings, is a pure object of merit, and it should be known that nothing else can compare even a fraction to it. Especially in these times when the five degenerations are rampant, in the hearts of beings, through the cracks of the mind, the master controlled by hundreds of millions of billions of powerful ones, with gentle means of deception that are not friendly towards enlightenment, establishes a great invisible dwelling place, thinking about who is inclined to lower realms, who has fallen into lower realms, and who will fall into lower realms. With the increase of desire, the increase of hatred, the increase of ignorance, the increase of pride, and the increase of jealousy, they rejoice in non-meritorious places and engage in diligent practice. Therefore, in this present time when the decline of the precious holy Dharma is soon to appear before our eyes, in order for the precious teachings of the Sugata to remain for a long time, engaging in such methods of writing, and protecting and upholding them with great effort, is particularly beneficial and is the supreme conduct of the noble sons of the Victorious Ones who dwell on the great earth. As it is said in the tantra of the Early Translation Pundarika: 'Controlled by karma and conditions of existence, wherever the holy Dharma declines, even crossing over a mass of fire and the edge of a razor, one should uphold the holy Dharma until the very end.' Also, as it is said in the Mahayana Sutra called 'Arya Avalokiteshvara': 'Whoever holds this supreme sutra from now on, they are always sons in harmony with me. Even if hundreds of thousands of Buddhas praise them, their praise will never come to an end.'

ur. Thus it is said. If one upholds the Dharma of the Supreme Lord of Cutting Life, one will possess power and strength, and will be diligent. Those who are not inferior will be able to travel everywhere. They will attend to and honor hundreds of thousands of Buddhas. If one upholds the Dharma of the Supreme Lord of Cutting Life, one will possess an exceedingly beautiful form and wisdom. In the human world, one will receive the highest honor and service. Kings, scholars, and wise individuals will praise them. Thus it is said. Whoever, to a thousand Buddhas, and to hundreds and billions of beings, for as many kalpas as there are sands in the Ganges, in such kalpas, makes offerings, is superior to what the Protector of the World has said. Whoever upholds the sacred Dharma of Cutting Life, upholding it day and night, their merit is especially excellent. Those who uphold the Dharma in times of Dharma decline, all the Buddhas of the past, and those who abide in the wisdom of the Buddhas, they are making offerings to me. When the sacred Dharma is destroyed, those who protect the Teacher's teachings, for hundreds of thousands of millions of kalpas, they will not decline. They will experience bodily pleasure, and they will not be afflicted by disease. They will not be robbed either. If one protects the Teacher's teachings, one will possess perfect patience, and clarity and gentleness, and will be loving towards sentient beings. If one upholds the Dharma of the Supreme Lord of Cutting Life, the treasures of happiness and joy will increase greatly. One will obtain the service of the past, and will completely abandon the eight unfavorable conditions. If one upholds the Dharma of the Supreme Lord of Cutting Life, just as the sky is filled with stars, one will always be armored with names, and will possess exceedingly pleasant and delightful melodious sounds. If one upholds the Dharma of the Supreme Lord of Cutting Life, wherever there is no happiness of mind and is extremely painful, one will abandon that inferior lineage. One will be wealthy and extremely happy, possessing enjoyment. If one upholds the Dharma of the Supreme Lord of Cutting Life, one will possess power and strength, and will be diligent.
