It is not a negation, because it is merely a negation of true entities, a non-analytical negation. It is the view of the Madhyamaka Svatantrika that the nature of ultimate truth, such as selflessness, unborn, like space, is free from elaboration, through rational inference. By establishing that it does not exist ultimately but exists conventionally, the fault of permanence and annihilation remains. Moreover, the intellect that analyzes with the mind can only realize the non-elaborate negation of elaboration, and it does not abide in the definitive meaning. Furthermore, the intellect that prevents elaboration does not transcend the distinctions of elaboration. Secondly, the view of the Prasangikas is: The two truths are divided by the distinction between delusion and non-delusion of the mind. In the realm of the samadhi of the noble northerners and the omniscient wisdom of the Buddha, there is no appearance of knower and known, object and subject, grasping and being grasped. For example, just as one who has not fallen asleep does not see dreams. The great scholar Nagarjuna said: For example, when one falls asleep and is under the power of sleep, one sees sons and women, palaces, places, and so on. When one wakes up, they do not appear. Similarly, conventional knowledge, when the eye of wisdom opens and is free from the sleep of ignorance, one does not see when one wakes up. Like that. The activity of the subject's wisdom is also called near peace, that is, when all the elaborations of mind and mental factors are cut off and cease, and one abides in the cessation of the great peace of the Dharmadhatu, which is free from all thought and expression, it is called the nature of non-delusion. Chandrakirti said: Because the nature of phenomena is unborn, therefore wisdom is also free from birth. Therefore, these are interdependent, just as one knows it by it. Because the mind arises in the form of an object, therefore its object is the best reason, and it is similarly known by relying on convention. And it says: All the dry firewood of knowable things, having been burned and pacified, the Victorious Ones are the Dharmakaya. At that time there is no birth and no cessation. The cessation of mind is directly realized by the body. The place that is spoken of is called the realization of ultimate truth, and its object is the nature of reality, the Dharmadhatu, naturally pure. Seeing falsehood is the delusion of wisdom, that is, the habit of ignorance of ordinary beings.

Just as those with eye diseases, defiled by attachment, cling to the appearance of dimness and falling hairs as true, so too, the various appearances of the six realms of beings, their experiences, happiness, suffering, high and low, are the forms of grasping and being grasped by illusion. The appearances of the vessel and essence, etc., which appear in common with others in the subsequent attainment of the noble ones, are established as two types of conventional truth, like the appearances of defective and non-defective senses. As it says in the Engaging in the Bodhisattva Deeds, "False seeing is of two kinds: clear senses and defective senses. The knowledge of those with defective senses is said to depend on well-functioning senses." Therefore, all phenomena of samsara, mind and mental factors, together with their appearances as objects, are conventional. Even upon attaining a bhumi, the aspect where mind and mental factors have not ceased, the six aggregates, including impure forms, together with their appearances, are, in short, gathered into the category of conventional truth as things to be abandoned and are regarded as illusions. That conventional truth is also of two kinds: distorted conventional truth, which appears to those with defective senses, and accurate conventional truth, which appears in the realm of the non-defective. The former appears to worldly knowledge but is known to be untrue, such as the appearance of two moons and dreams, etc. The latter appears to worldly knowledge and is known to be true, such as the appearance of one moon, etc. Likewise, in the state of deluded mind that grasps at duality, what appears as true is like the appearance of hairs to one with an eye disease, while one with clear eyes sees nothing at all. Similarly, the various appearances to a deluded mind do not appear to the noble ones in meditative equipoise and to the Buddhas who have exhausted delusion, because there is nothing to be observed. Thus, illusory appearances, together with their parts, do not appear. As it says in the Engaging in the Bodhisattva Deeds, "Just as one deluded by the power of cataracts imagines separate objects such as hairs, but one with clear eyes sees none of them, so it should be understood here." Nagarjuna also says in his "Destruction of Confusion" from the Treatise on the Middle Way, "Likewise, when a truly wise person, with the sun of wisdom, has destroyed all the habitual tendencies that cannot be known, they do not see mind, mental factors, or objects." As it is said, the nature that is free from all elaboration of grasping and being grasped, from the aspect of not directly thinking about sounds, words, etc., is not known from others. All the afflictions of mind and mental factors, the Dharma of
