When asked where he was going after completing the body rituals from viewing, he said, "I am going to the Sukhavati Pure Land. The Great Lotus Master is inseparable from me, pray to the Yidam deity." After speaking, he shook the vajra bell, and his body transformed into light, merging into the heart of the Great Lotus Master. At that time, it coincided with the arrival of the Khampa (present-day Garzê Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan) offering bearers, who met the Guru on the road. The Guru blessed the Khampa people's vision, accepted the emanation palace they offered, and made dedications. Later, when the Khampa people returned, it was as if they had awakened from a dream, and there was nothing there. They proceeded with doubt, and on the road, they heard the news of the Guru merging into the heart of the Lotus Master. It is said that this Great Lotus Master has very powerful blessings, and later it was also said, "Have Gyaton Shakya Ye go to greet my attendant." When they went to greet him, Gyaton rode a white mare and wore a felt hat. In front of the Lotus Master, he transformed into a white light, circled three times to the left, and merged into the Guru's body. This was personally witnessed by the attendant, the leper Donden. Similarly, it is said that a person named Tsanden Zurmo Wobum also merged into the Guru's body. Among the four peaks (monasteries), like the best among elephants is Deshek Gyalpo Pa, or Zurchung Sherab Drakpa, who is a descendant of the mantra holder Upa Lungpa family. His father, Lapa Gönchen Rega, also existed as a vagrant, and his mother was Chama Jowo Sherab Kyi from the Chamar area of Uru Tsang, who gave birth to him with peculiar omens. At the age of seven, he learned to read and write; at the age of nine, he could recite the activity rituals of the peaceful and wrathful deities. At the age of thirteen, once when he was reading a book in his bedroom, a woman ran in and said, "The livestock in the field have run away, are you allowed to sleep?" He put on a new lower skirt and was about to cross the river to block the irrigation ditch when the woman said, "The clothes I worked so hard to make, you don't even change them and just get them wet." He did not throw away the clothes, but said, "If I throw away the clothes, they will be there." The woman got angry and said, "You are insulting me." Then she ran back to her home. Zurchung developed a strong aversion to samsara, asked for wool from his family, took it, and then called out to the woman, hoping she would come back, so he sat there waiting.

Then he entrusted her, saying, "Since it's a matter of male wealth and female wealth, say a word of message." She broke off the relationship and returned to her village. There, Zur Chungpa didn't consult his father, didn't take provisions from his mother, and without considering his friends' feelings, he took a coarse cloth and went to see Zur Chenpo. On the way, he encountered two black horse nomads carrying turquoise and copper, and some Shangpa people carrying blood, who were traveling together. At that time, Zur Chungpa had nothing to offer except the coarse cloth. The other three offered gifts. The lama said, "Observe whether they have turned away from samsara or not, and give each of them some tsampa and noodles." The two nomads didn't want to eat, the Shangpa people ate a little, and Zur Chungpa ate everything without leaving any. The lama said, "Leave the coarse cloth and the armor, and return the turquoise and copper to their owners." The nomads were unhappy and said, "Returning the gifts is a sign that we won't be taught the Dharma." From that auspicious beginning, there arose slander against the Zur tradition of Dharma. There, the lama asked Zur Chungpa, "What is your lineage?" He was afraid that if he said he was of the same lineage as the lama, it would become a competition, so he said, "I am a small Zur." Therefore, in Ladakh, that's how it was called. From then on, the lama knew he was a capable person, so he had him work as an attendant, and his wisdom and courage became extremely outstanding. At first, he was very poor, so he often took the tormas (torma, Devanagari: torma, Romanized Sanskrit: torma, literal meaning: offering cake) that the lama had thrown away and ate them like making tsampa beer. The other monks said, "He smells sour and stinky from the beer, and he doesn't offer the beer to the lama, nor does he share it with his Dharma friends." The lama said, "Today, let Zur Chungpa go chop wood." Afterwards, people opened Zur Chungpa's hut and found nothing inside except broken beer bowls and kapala bowls (kapala, Devanagari: kapāla, Romanized Sanskrit: kapala, literal meaning: skull bowl). The lama said, "If Zur Chungpa runs out of livelihood, let him come to us." I said, "I dare not say that the lama's property is impure, I can endure only bearing hardship." One day, the lama took a birch bark bowl that could hold nine bushels and asked, "Do you have anything to quench my thirst?" He requested tsampa beer, and the lama drank the bowl empty, and said, "Bring more." He brought more, and the lama drank it empty again. The lama asked, "Is there any left now?" He said, "There is about a bushel left." The lama said, "Now there is none left. If there is none left, your merit will be as great as Tibet. However, from the auspicious beginning of serving me, even greater merit will arise." After that, the lama gave him three loads of things, saying, "When these are used up, don't
