Then he entrusted the position, saying, "Call Zur Chungpa from Brag Gyapo." When he came, I said, "I am entrusting my seat to Zur Chungpa. Because it is necessary to benefit the assembly of disciples with the Dharma, apply yourself with all your heart. Protect as I have protected. The disciples should also regard Zur Chungpa as having attained the accomplishments of the body, speech, and mind of the Great Glorious One, and he is better than me. Whatever he does, listen well. Do not break the three samayas, do not transgress even the shadow of the body, the footprints, or the clothes. Because there is someone who protects as I have protected, have complete faith and devotion." After saying this, he went to the Otter Hermitage. Once, he said to the attendant, "This morning, I have a slight fever." There, when the sun rose and they went before the Lama, the Lama was in his sleeping quarters, doing retreat. When asked, "Now that you are doing retreat, where are you going?" he replied, "I am going to the realm of Great Bliss. The Great Glorious One is inseparable from me. Pray to the Yidam deity." Having said this, while ringing the vajra bell, his body transformed into the nature of light, and dissolved into the heart of the Great Glorious One. At that time, the offerings from Kham arrived, and they met the Lama on the road. The appearance of the Khampas was blessed, and he also accepted the offerings to be offered in the emanation palace, and made dedications. Later, when the two Khampas returned, they were as if awakened from sleep and there was nothing there. While they were walking in doubt, they heard on the road that the Lama had dissolved into the heart of the Great Glorious One. Such blessings of the Great Glorious One are very great, so in the future, take care of the body and welcome Gyaton Shakya Ye." When they welcomed him, Gyaton rode on a white divine horse, wearing a felt hat, and came. In front of the Great Glorious One, he transformed into a single white light, circumambulated three times to the left, and actually dissolved into the body, which was clearly seen by the attendant Majo Donden. Similarly, it is said that the named Zurmo O'bum also dissolved into the body. Among the four peaks, like a supreme one among elephants, Deshe Gyapo Pa, or Zur Chung Sherab Drakpa, is a descendant of the mantra-holder Ukpa Lungpa's lineage. His father, Takpa Gomchen, sometimes appeared as a vagabond, and on the land of Yeru Tsang, he had extraordinary and wondrous signs for Majo Sherab Kyi.

He was born. At the age of seven, he learned to write and read, and at the age of nine, he was able to recite the rituals of the peaceful and wrathful deities. When he was thirteen, once while he was reading a book in his bedroom, a maid came running and said, "There are marmots in the field." "Is it okay for you to be sleeping?" she said, wearing a new skirt, but wading through the water, blocking the water to the house. The maid said, "I worked hard to make this dress, but you don't cherish it, you waste it for nothing." She scolded him. He said, "I'm not throwing the dress, if I throw the dress, it's right there." The maid got angry and said, "You are insulting me." Then she ran back to her home. Zurchungpa developed a strong aversion to samsara, and took the ashes that the maid had left in the hearth. Later he called her, hoping she would answer "What?", and silently sat there, handing her the ashes, saying, "Men get men's things, women get women's things, take the ashes." The maid despondently returned home. There, Zurchungpa did not consult with his father, did not take provisions from his mother, did not look at his friends' faces, and taking a sheepskin coat, he went to Zurpoche. On the way, he met two black tent nomads carrying turquoise and copper, and a Shangpa man carrying armor, and they traveled together. Zurchungpa only had a sheepskin coat to offer. The other three offered gifts. The lama said, "See if they are averse to samsara, give each of them a bowl of tsampa and noodles." The two nomads did not want to eat, the Shangpa man ate a little, and Zurchungpa ate everything. The lama said, "Leave the sheepskin coat and the armor, return the turquoise and copper to the owners." The nomads were unhappy and said, "Returning the gifts is a sign that you will not teach us the Dharma." From that coincidence, the slander of the Zurpa Dharma arose. There, the lama asked Zurchungpa, "What is your lineage?" He thought, if he said he was of the same lineage as the lama, it would become a competition, so he said, "I am the small Zurchungpa." Therefore, in Ladakh, he was called "Zurchungchung." The lama knew he was a capable person, so he let him study, and his wisdom became very extraordinary. At first he was very poor, so the lama took the offered torma (Tibetan: གཏོར་མ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: बलि, Sanskrit Romanization: bali, Chinese literal meaning: offering), and offered it to him like tsampa beer. The other monks said, "He drinks all the beer, the smell is offensive, he doesn't offer the beer to the lama, and he doesn't give it to his Dharma brothers."
