Therefore, they were expelled from their places. In the central Dar yul, he renounced from Acharya Chos dbang and became proficient in the three pitakas. He could recite five hundred sutras and collections of dharani mantras from his mind. Although he listened to many other treatises on logic, he was still not satisfied. Later, he listened to the Collected Works on Pramana once from Wangchuk De (dBang-phyug-sde), a disciple of Dignāga (Phyogs-kyi-glang-po), and became equal to the teacher. After listening twice, he became equal to Dignāga. The third time, Wangchuk De also repeated the erroneous points that Dignāga had not fully understood, as they were. The teacher was very pleased and said, "You are equal to Dignāga. You can refute all the wrong sects and write a commentary on the Collected Works on Pramana." He received such permission. The mantra teacher, although having different intentions, received authentic empowerment from the one who considered ṇḍa gi pa to be reasonable. By practicing the higher deity, Heruka personally appeared and asked him what he wanted. He said, "I wish to completely conquer all directions." After saying this, he disappeared with laughter. Thereafter, he continuously offered praises. Later, in order to defeat all the heretics, he wanted to learn the secret words of other sects, so he disguised himself as a servant and went to all the southern regions. He asked, "Who is proficient in the doctrines of the heretics?" They said, "It is the incomparable young Ropa (gzhon nu rol pa)." The earlier Dharma sources believe this to be his uncle and say that he does not accept young people, etc., and it is said that his commands are not strict. This heretic and the two followers of Shiva (Lha chen po), etc., through debates with Sangyas skyangs, Legs ldan, and many disciples of Dignāga, lowered their status and deprived them of their power and wealth, there is such a story. At that time, the young Ropa obtained power and wealth from the king, possessing abundant land and a perfect body, owning herds of cattle and buffaloes, and five hundred male and female servants each, and a retinue that lived on yogurt. He stayed there as a servant, and all of them were favored by the sole teacher, so the heretic couple was very happy. When they asked him what he wanted, he said, "I want to hear the doctrines." So he became a student.

He settled in the 's monastery. He was satisfied with and mastered some secrets that he would not show to others except his son and wife, and thus he knew all the tenets of the sects. In the end, he mastered all the knowledge to refute other views. Because the Brahmins were greedy for money, they would be punished if he did not pay, so he gave the Brahmins five hundred panas as his salary. In the end, he mastered all the knowledge to refute other views. He also took seven thousand gold hoes from the yakshas there and gave them to the youth Rola, and then fled that night. There, he posted a notice in a place where there was a king named Duma Risu, proclaiming, "Who wants to debate?" About five hundred people who adhered to the tenets of the six heretical teachers gathered and debated for three months. He raised the banner of victory over all. There, he ruled by the power of the king and made everyone enter the Buddhist teachings. He also had about fifty wealthy people establish the foundation of Buddhism. That news became a thorn in the heart of the Brahmin youth Rola, and he came with five hundred attendants to debate, claiming to refute the false mantra. If that were the case, whether new or old, there would be someone who would say to refute an individual, but to say to refute a false mantra, because the object and the subject are contradictory. Again, if someone says that it is a false mantra because explicit words such as spells and expulsions appear in the tantra, then one needs to generally understand the teachings of the secret mantra, and especially in the sixteenth chapter of the Guhyasamaja Root Tantra, which one recites oneself, it says: "You should kill living beings, you should also speak false words, you should also take what is not given, you should also attend to women, through these vajra paths, you should encourage all sentient beings." Because this is not used according to the intention of the scriptures, but is used directly, violent actions are initiated, false words are spoken, others' wealth is stolen by means of trade, and how many new schools have the desire for a continuous rosary of lineage until samsara is empty? Like this, in relation to those householders who are greedy for the taste of worldly pleasures, before

Brahmins, etc., who have an increased attachment to the practice of purity, take this as a common cause. Here, they look with disgust at things like filth, and those who are not transformed by the senses, or who lack interest in teaching the Dharma of natural union, will hinder the wisdom of hearing, thinking, and meditating. They regard only the white vajra, the broom, and the absence of a wife as the root of discipline. They destroy the actions of war, the judgments of kings, the collection of taxes, the beginnings of agriculture, the work of servants, and the perfections that rival competitors. They do not hesitate to inflict punishments of life and property on those who have become subjects. If these things exist, then for those who are in the last of the five hundred periods, who do not contemplate the sorrow of the degeneration of the essence of the teachings, who can have the ability to refute the actions that violate the discipline? If thorns arise in what is said, then for the space of the Dharma realm, which is not anything, there is no establishing or refuting, and this is not understood. Furthermore, if one speaks ill of the basis of the vehicle, then in the questions of the brave army, one hears that it is taught in the form of tantric sutras. And in the "Destruction of All Evil Destinies," "the glory of this sutra," is said twice, and it also increases from outside the tantra. Having collected all the sutras and tantras into the treasury of vidyadharas and taught them, one criticizes the establishment of the nine stages, but ultimately, the completely perfect Buddhist tenets, what is there to be refuted that is not established? If one says that everything cannot become a vehicle, then in the Lankavatara Sutra, "As long as the mind's activity continues, there is no end to the vehicle," how is the meaning of this sentence understood? Furthermore, if one says that it is because there is a difference in view, then where is it taught that the ladder of view is established? Even if in the stages of meditation, there appears only a symbol of view, if it is view, then it does not pervade meditation, but view exists in the space of meditation, so it is pervasive. For the supreme seers, view and meditation are of one taste. Furthermore, if one says that there is no difference between sutra and tantra from the perspective of view, then the way of abiding is suchness, but the way of meditating has a great difference. The pure realm, the clear light of pure equality, the great self-nature, the wisdom without modification, and the mind arising from eliminating the extremes of permanence and annihilation through conceptualization.
