Grags pa agrees with the sutras. Kuntu Zangpo (Samantabhadra) is now only a name and does not appear, but Caṇḍapa is known and flourishing as a teacher of all inside and outside. This teacher has also composed many treatises on grammar, poetry, rhetoric, logic, medicine, the hundred arts, astrology, and so on. When teaching the assembly of students, the venerable lady praised the places that are mixed with the six evils of outsiders and possess the three aspects of Buddhists, saying: "Read the Ten Bhumis and the Moon Lamp, Adorned with Trees and Entering Lanka, which have become the realm of the Victorious Ones! What do you gain from the combination of bad and deceitful compositions?" Urging this, the rope of diligence in the common fields of knowledge was loosened, and he taught the five extraordinary sutras to others, and he himself recited them every day, and he also composed treatises summarizing their meanings. Generally, he composed one hundred and eight each of praises, inner knowledge, treatises of outsiders, and arts, and four hundred and thirty-two minor works. He composed a treatise on the entire path of the Great Vehicle Bodhisattva, which flourished in 'Gro lding and Si sko la'i. Furthermore, there are very many treatises such as Entering the Three Bodies and the Twenty Vows. Finally, after passing away in Potala, when he went to the island of Shi dha na, he was harmed by the waves of the ocean because he had previously criticized the treatise of Klu she sha and held a grudge, and a voice saying "Expel Caṇḍa go mi" arose. As soon as he prayed to Tara, the five main attendants rode on garudas and went into the sky and were saved from fear. Having safely arrived in Shi dha na, he made offerings to the stupa of Dpal ldan 'bras spungs. He built one hundred and eight temples each for Tara and Avalokiteśvara. It is said that he went to Mount Potala and still resides there without abandoning his body. For a while, the teacher Ma rgyal rigs rin chen grags pa, a monk who had fallen from his vows, saw him engaging in various sins and sent this letter of instruction from Potala to the assembly of monks. It was according to the Dharma.
