Those who are superior with sharp faculties, and are not confused even for a single purpose, the vehicle of mantra is particularly superior. Because the path is known as the fruit itself, one can attain complete Buddhahood in one lifetime. Thus it is said. The difference in accumulating merit also lies in the fact that the external characteristics are merely pure conduct such as the six perfections. In mantra, the appearance of the world is purified into the Buddha's realm, and the accumulation of afflictions and desirable qualities is recognized as the mudra of offering, etc., with fifteen kinds of superior differences. The Protector Vajradhara said: The Lesser Vehicle such as the Hearers, does not have oral instructions, does not have divine conduct, does not have holding the mind, does not have cause, path, and fruit, does not have ground, does not have time, does not have enjoyment yoga, does not have the benefit and necessity of self and others, does not have hardship, abandoning extremes, small effort, does not have the difference of accumulating merit, etc., with fifteen kinds of differences, the Vidyadhara Vehicle is particularly superior. Also, as it is said in the Accomplishment of Wisdom: From the Great Vehicle of cause, the paths of body, speech, and mind, etc., from the great secret, mantra is the most superior, it should be known as extremely superior. This shows that the inconceivable supreme place of the secret of body, speech, and mind is the great vow of superiority. Second, the establishment of mantra is divided into two: general presentation and detailed explanation. First, the general nature of mantra has four aspects: definition, essence, meaning of the word, and synonyms of the name. The first is: From the beginning, the Dharmata, which is clear as the nature of luminosity, the self-nature body and wisdom inseparable, is established by the actions of the path as the object to be purified, the purifier, the agent of purification, and the result of purification. The Dharmata of the essence of the Tathagata-garbha, clear as luminosity, is the object to be purified, and the adventitious obscurations, karma and afflictions, the laws of samsara, including the Alaya consciousness, the eight aggregates, are the objects to be purified. Among them, the Alaya consciousness of various habitual tendencies is the root of samsara, therefore it will change. The habitual Alaya consciousness of the abiding mode, although the essence does not change, the name of the Alaya consciousness, which is nominally established, will change, and thus transform into the wisdom of the Dharmadhatu. Similarly, the other consciousnesses will also manifest the remaining four wisdoms, such as the mirror-like wisdom, from the changing part. With the path like an ocean of maturation and liberation, the qualities of wisdom are opened.

Attaining stillness is the practice. Having practiced in this way, all aspects that obscure the dharmadhatu are purified, transforming the aggregates into bodhi, manifesting the nature of the body and wisdom, and perfecting the two benefits, is the result of practice. As it is said in the Guhyasadhana: 'The result of attaining freedom from the dharmadhatu, the four types of mantras are taught.' Thus it is. Second, the dharmadhatu is naturally pure and uninterrupted, which is the great secret of the vajra of speech that expresses it. As it is said in the Vajrasekhara: 'The characteristic of all mantras is the mind of all Buddhas, it accomplishes the essence of the Dharma, and is truly in accordance with the dharmadhatu.' Thus it is. Third, there are two: a general explanation of the sound and meaning, and a specific explanation of the etymology of the tantra. First, in Sanskrit it is called 'Mantra (藏文:མནྟྲ་,梵文天城體:मंत्र,梵文羅馬擬音:mantra,字面意思:真言)', which means secret mantra or mantra. If it is derived from the root of the word that needs to be added with letters, then 'Mana (藏文:མ་ན་,梵文天城體:मन,梵文羅馬擬音:mana,字面意思:意)' means mind, and 'Tra (藏文:ཏྲ་,梵文天城體:त्र,梵文羅馬擬音:tra,字面意思:救護)' means to protect. It means to transform the mind and afflictions into wisdom, and to protect and conquer from unfavorable conditions such as self-grasping. As it is said in the Uttaratantra of the Guhyasamaja: 'The mind is said to be called Man, Tra means to protect, liberation from worldly conduct.' Thus it is. Second, in the Madhyamaka that distinguishes languages, it is said that 'Tantra (藏文:ཏནྟྲ་,梵文天城體:तन्त्र,梵文羅馬擬音:tantra,字面意思:續) Pratantra (藏文:པྲ་ནནྟྲ་,梵文天城體:प्रतन्त्र,梵文羅馬擬音:pratantra,字面意思:分支續) Khyur (藏文:ཁྱུར་,梵文天城體:ख्युर्,梵文羅馬擬音:khyur,字面意思:混合)' is the name for continuity. As it is also said in the Vajrasekhara: 'Tantra is said to be continuous, samsara is considered as tantra, nirvana is the subsequent tantra.' Therefore, in terms of the meaning to be expressed, in all stages of cause, means, and result, it is interconnected and continuous, non-dual wisdom. Fourth, it is the treasury of vidyadharas, or the Mantrayana, the Vajrayana, the Resultant Vehicle, which are defined as different names. It specifically praises the methods for purifying what should be abandoned, such as afflictions, and for attaining what should be accomplished. As it is said in the Supreme Knowledge: 'Because it is supremely praised for the pure attainment of true union, it is called mantra.' Thus it is. Second, there are two specific explanations: the establishment of the New Translation School and the establishment of the Ancient Translation Nyingma School. First, extensively in other places.
