Regarding the eight aspects of the Mudra empowerment, first, concerning the cause, the similar cause is: the forty-two assemblies of realization, and so on. The co-emergent cause is: visualizing the deities individually as Mudras. Among the four conditions, the causal condition is: a disciple who is suitable for empowerment, free from the causes of unfavorable factors and possessing the causes of favorable factors. Second, the objective condition is: the deities each possessing the blessings of their respective deities. Third, the dominant condition is: a lama capable of bestowing Mudra empowerment, possessing fourteen qualities. Fourth, the immediately preceding condition is: having opened the understanding by obtaining the food empowerment, thereby obtaining the Mudra empowerment. Third, the essence is: the Mudra empowerment. Fourth, the result is: actually generating the ability is like sharpening a blade. Fifth, the order is: bestowing the Mudra empowerment after the food empowerment. Sixth, the contemplation in the activity sequence is: contemplating the forty-two assemblies of realization, etc., as being pure in their unaltered state. The proclamation is: "The nature of consciousness is the essence of space, Because of mind, its nature is unborn, In the nature of the immovable father and mother, By empowering the samadhi in the heart, May accomplishments and activities be swiftly achieved. Seventh fault: Listening and writing etc. are meaningless and the fruit is lost. Eighth quality: Longevity, happiness and well-being are perfect.
