To practice. Without attachment, it transforms, The great and wonderful accomplishment, Arises from the essence of the vows. If practiced without understanding, One will be born in the realm of hungry ghosts and rakshasas. Or, such vows, Become both the great gathering of actions and conduct. Walking, sitting, and sleeping, Abide in the realm of equality. Always practice with supreme joy, For all phenomena, Like a bird cutting through the sky. All grasping and attachment, Like a great garuda soaring in the sky. All realizations of the mind, Like a great fish swimming in water. View the yoga in this way. With the wisdom of such realization, Not just words, but transform the depths of the mind. Claiming to be Vajra Mahayana, Without knowing the meaning of equality, Saying that mantra vows are equal, Practicing according to the minds of the Buddhas, One will transmigrate in the hell realms. What is the meaning of equality? Equality itself is nothing, There is neither equality nor permanence. Not abiding in anything, but acting in everything. The one who acts has no action. Such a supreme lineage of realization, Is the birth of a Vajra Vidyadhara. Acting fearlessly as Samantabhadra, It is also the place of inexhaustible qualities. Not knowing the meaning of equality, In the inseparability of relative and ultimate truth, In the selflessness of phenomena and individuals, This is a Bodhisattva. For all actions and afflictions, If one does not know the meaning of equality, If one clings to the existence of dependent arising and cause and effect, This is the state of a Pratyekabuddha. For all phenomena, If one sees the four truths as real, And practices abandoning and not abandoning, This is the state of a Shravaka. If one mainly takes the ten virtues, Good and non-good are not equal, It is the birthplace of gods and humans, The place of samsara in the desire realm. Not understanding the meaning of equality, The four immeasurables and the four dhyanas, Each in turn clinging to self, And clinging to form and other phenomena as self. This is to be born successively in the Brahma realm. Except for the formless realm of equal abiding, If one abides in the four birthplaces, One will be born in the peak of existence. Not arising equally in everything, Generating hatred towards all beings, If there is no genuine compassion, This is the extremely unbearable, The place where the sixteen great hells abide.

Not knowing the nature of unstained things, Attaching to all things with desire, Obscured by the body and obscured by food, Born in the realm of the great pretas. Not knowing the meaning of self and no-self, Being ignorant of all dharmas, Since the earth is very clear but meaningless, Not understanding the meaning of good and evil, This is born in the realm of animals. Greatly increasing extreme pride, From grasping everything as one's own, Engaging in disputes with everyone, Born in the realm of the Asuras. All the high and low of the supreme vehicle, And all the views of the world, If thoroughly examined with great wisdom, What can be accomplished in the absence of inherent existence? It causes one to fall from the realm of inherent existence. With eyes endowed with great wisdom, High and low realms and the six paths, See the respective cycles of existence. By the supreme and unsurpassed mantra, Without examining all characteristics, In the state of equality, everything is absent, Since everything is equality itself, The views of the transcendent and the worldly, Should not be expressed separately. In general, countless wrong thoughts, Are not originally existent, Due to the power of the habitual patterns of individual thoughts, Obscured by the net of grasping and being grasped, Nothing is there, yet everything appears, In appearance itself, there is no inherent existence, Understanding thus is the realm of happiness, The Vajra Holder understands thus. The view and conduct of the great yogi, However one acts, there is no inherent existence, Like a great bird soaring in the sky, Like a great fish swimming in the water, The yogi's view is to be seen thus. The great yogi's conduct, Acts without differentiation towards all things, Experiencing the supreme taste of bliss, Who would be attached to that? Attachment to non-differentiation is wisdom, The collection of bliss is the collection of merit, Acting in such a state, This is profound conduct. Since view and conduct have not become extraordinary, The mantra holders should always practice. Some have a view that abides in equality, But their conduct is not the same as that. Some accomplish conduct completely, But do not fully know the Dharma of equality. Some have neither view nor conduct, The truly excellent and holy being. The ultimate and conventional are inseparable, Truly realizing the true nature. From within the supreme vehicle, In the ultimate, there is no separation, Only in the conventional, to all things, Both pure and impure
