降下灾难。 有的降下火灾，有的降下水灾，有的降下饥荒，有的降下冰雹和霜冻，有的降下瘟疫和疾病，有的降下刀兵。降下各种各样的灾难，赡部洲的人们濒临灭绝。祈请世尊以慈悲摄受，加持！ 之后，世尊开示道：谛听，天主，好好谛听，你能够提问很好。我将开启秘密的教言。如是说。 在千神魔网大续中，名为“帝释天提问”的第一品。 然后，世尊进入名为“摄伏一切”的等持。 刚一入定，所有傲慢者都蜂拥聚集到世尊面前。有的发出“甘青布布”的声音，有的哭泣捶胸，有的昏厥，有的拔自己的头发，有的说“这是什么”，全都昏厥了。 之后，世尊进入名为“普皆救度”的等持。 刚一入定，他们全都从昏厥中醒来，向世尊顶礼绕拜，异口同声地说： 唉！世尊，慈悲的主人，祈请加持！我们是勇士您的臣仆。请下令，我们将如您所吩咐的那样去做。 如是说。 之后，薄伽梵开示道：傲慢者们，你们要守护我的教法。 傲慢者们说道：世尊，何为“教法”？何为“守护”？祈请世尊开示。 之后，世尊开示道：谛听，千傲慢者之众！所谓“教法”，即是法、律，以及经藏、论藏等等一切乘。所谓“守护”，即是对修持它们的后世瑜伽士们制造障碍者，要杀、要度。 如是说。 在千神魔网大续中，名为“世尊摄伏傲慢者并委以事业”的第二品。 之后，天界主宰帝释天向世尊如此祈请道： 唉呀！世尊

Some sent down fire calamities, some sent down water calamities, some sent down famine, some sent down hail and frost, some sent down plagues and diseases, some sent down weapons. Various kinds of inauspicious things were sent down, and the people of Jambudvipa were close to being exhausted. May the Bhagavan hold us with compassion and bless us! Then the Bhagavan spoke, saying: Listen, Lord of the Gods, listen well. It is good that you dare to ask. I will open the secret teachings. Thus he spoke. From the Great Tantra of the Net of a Thousand Gods and Demons, the first chapter, called "Indra's Daring to Ask." Then the Bhagavan entered into the samadhi called "Subduing All." As soon as he entered, all those arrogant ones gathered in a swarm before the Bhagavan. Some made the sound "Gan Qing Bu Bu," some wept and beat their chests, some fainted, some tore out their own hair, some said, "What is this?" and all of them fainted. Then the Bhagavan entered into the samadhi called "Healing All." As soon as he entered, all of them awoke from their fainting, prostrated to the Bhagavan, circumambulated him, and said in one voice: O Bhagavan, Lord of Compassion, please bless us! We are the servants of you, the hero. Please command us, and we will do as you instruct. Thus they spoke. Then the Bhagavan spoke: Arrogant ones, protect my teachings! The arrogant ones said: Bhagavan, what is meant by "teachings"? What is meant by "protecting"? Please explain, Bhagavan. Then the Bhagavan spoke: Listen, assembly of a thousand arrogant ones! "Teachings" means the Dharma and Vinaya, the Sutras, the Abhidharma, and all the vehicles. "Protecting" means to kill and liberate those who create obstacles for the yogis of future generations who practice them. Thus he spoke. Obeisance to the Secret Lord! What are the divisions and lineages of these haughty kings? Please explain, Blessed One. Thus he requested. Then Bhagavan spoke: The divisions and lineages are many. Some are the divisions and lineages of Bodhisattvas, that is, the nature of the place. Some are the divisions of the god Indra, who controls the world. Some are the divisions of the wrathful demons, who perform the work of subduing demons. The divisions of the arrogant and powerful are the lords who send hail diseases. Some are the divisions of the patrolling lord kings, who are the masters of life. Some are the divisions of the demon mothers, who send many plagues. Some are the divisions of the empty-bellied wanderers, who do the running errands of the world. Some are the divisions of the wicked messenger women, who are the messengers of commands. Some are the divisions of the eight classes of miraculous beings, who send down hail and frost. Some are the divisions of the Yaksha types, who are devoted to flesh and blood. Some are the divisions of the earth lords, Nagas, and evil spirits, who send down poisonous diseases. The divisions and lineages are many. Their actions and abilities are beyond comprehension. Thus he spoke. The division is the division of the types of beings. The lineage is the lineage of the types of the haughty. Thus he spoke. From the Great Tantra of the Net of a Thousand Gods and Demons, the chapter on showing the divisions and lineages of the haughty is the third. Then, to the Blessed One, the lord of the gods, Indra, spoke thus: Alas! Blessed One, Secret Lord, how can we pacify all the cruelty of these haughty kings? Please speak, Blessed One. Then Bhagavan spoke: Listen, lord of the gods, Indra! If you want to pacify the cruelty and insubordination of these haughty kings, you must subdue the worldly retinues with tormas. For all the demonesses and their retinues, and the four Mu sisters and two hundred and fifty demonesses, the ones named Great Demons will descend. Then the demonesses will light a hundred and eight bright butter lamps in jeweled, shining bowls. In golden yellow golden ladles, fill them with the essence of pure grains, and cover the mouths with five jewels. On the three-span-long protective arrow, decorate it with silks of the elements, and then offer it in order.
