There are two methods of approach: dependent and non-dependent. Dependent practice has two types: practicing in the manner of a small house. Non-dependent relies on torma, generating self and others' samadhi in front. Among these, the practice of the small house is: In a secluded place or inside a house, build a mandala with a cubit as the measurement, with eight-petaled lotus on top. On top of that, the practitioner should build a beautiful body image with proper measurements. Build a square outer house with earth for alms, paper pulp, saffron water, honey, vegetables, camphor, sandalwood, house earth, house water, great river water, snow, and deep well water. It is said to be the substance of the Naga King and Nagas. After building a beautiful body image, coat the body image with precious gold water. Place a fish face in the southeast corner, a tortoise face in the southwest corner, a makara in the northwest corner, and a lion face in the northeast corner. These are white, yellow, red, and blue in color. Cover with silk and brocade tents. Fill the inside of the small house with gold, silver, copper, iron, coral, etc., as well as abundant torma and incense. Generate self and others, and perform the approach. During this time, offer torma and praise with invocations. Offer incense smoke and recite the mantra of the deity. With three days and three nights of yoga, summon, entrust with activities, and strengthen the vows. After that, the Naga King can be truly accomplished. Any desired activity will be accomplished. The method of practicing with a painted image is: On a clean cloth, draw a stupa one cubit high, one cubit wide, and six fingers in measurement. Draw it beautifully, and in the center, draw the deity king with proper measurements. There are also two types of painted images: the body is sixteen fingers in height, the upper body is human, and the lower body is coiled with venomous snakes, adorned with a crest of seven snake heads. Write "receiving" with joined palms. Alternatively, nineteen fingers in height, with both feet actually extended. Adorned with seven snake heads, the snake heads coil from both sides of the snake, three and four. Both the right and left feet are drawn as if tightly entwined by seven snakes. Join the palms and draw beautifully. This is also the order of dependence. Alternatively, inside a beautiful mandala, apply saffron water well.
