Without accomplishment. Like weapons sharpened with oil, Power and might are supreme, equal to the Sugatas. Like a prince ruling with ministers, He wields power over samsara and nirvana. Equal in fortune to those who have attained the ground. He is regarded as the son of all Buddhas. Do not displease the teacher, Do not be without empowerment. With impartial self-blessing, Diligently recite mantras and practice. Would you load a burden on a tired mule? Like pushing someone into the water who cannot swim. It is of no benefit, it is the cause of ruin. If you explain mantras without empowerment, Like tying a calf to the three lower realms. Plowing the field on the tongue, one is born mute. Therefore, empowerment is a precious thing. To the teacher who gives empowerment, Offer various items such as silk clothes, Various items such as gold, silver, and jewels, Horses and elephants, land and cities, Servants and consorts, children and wealth, Offer whatever pleasing things they desire. Like a blind doctor opening the eyes, For those obscured by the darkness of ignorance, The wise one opens the eyes with empowerment, Empowerment is done in order to understand the meaning. Thus it is said. From the Tantra of the Ocean of Actions. The eighth chapter, on empowering disciples. Mahakala (Tibetan: མགོན་པོ་ནག་པོ) again requested: Kyeho! Vajradhara, Lord of Secrets, Please explain to me in detail the sequence of guarding vows and so forth. The Lord of Secrets replied: Mahakala, listen! I will explain to you the sequence of guarding vows. To the Three Jewels and the Yidam deity, To the Lama Vajra Acharya, Abandon faults of body, speech, and mind, and always respect. To Dharma brothers and sisters connected by vows, Without hypocrisy, generate compassion with one mind. Do not interrupt the recitation of secret mantras. Always visualize the deity and recite the heart mantra. Do not let meditation be distracted, Do not mix mundane words into the mantra. Abandon doubt about the Buddha's teachings. Generate faith, joy, trust, and certainty. And pure and beautiful offerings, Abandon conceptual thoughts, alcohol, laziness, afflictions, and distractions. Towards objects worthy of offering, Do not slander, do not despise. Do not trample, do not place in unclean places. Bathing and cleaning, know the proper times. Abandon attachment to impure things. Do not associate with those who have broken their vows. Do not abandon vows that have been promised. Abide for the benefit of sentient beings. In short, all

At that time. Protect your own three doors and do not be negligent, Take vows to accept and reject good and bad. For the yogi who has vows, The dakinis, yakshas, eight classes of gods and demons, etc., Help as friends and listen to what they say like servants. Retinue and enjoyment increase and prosper. When life ends, it is the same as the Victorious One. Merits arise like the four lands. If due to maternal unrestrained arrogance, Turning to the wrong path and becoming decadent, When life ends, you will have nothing like doing business. Countless unpleasant things will arise, Terrible diseases and other sufferings will be many. However, the blessings of the word will not change, Like a sharp knife around you. Retinue and enjoyment will be separated from what is pleasing, All kinds of unpleasant things will arise. Untimely death and suffering will be experienced. If decadence appears good without signs, In the end, it will not only be your own suffering when life ends. If you want to confess your sins, Whatever sins you have committed, Confess frankly before the teacher and others. Reading scriptures, making statues, building stupas, Fire offerings, tsog offerings, and mandalas, Visualize all the deities and Sugatas, Kneel down, put your palms together, and shed tears, Confess your sins by speaking words. Always recite the supreme hundred-syllable mantra. If you abide in the nature of Dharma, great bliss, Whatever sins and decadence you have committed, They will not appear in the nature of attachment and aversion. Just as the sunlight illuminates the darkness, Understanding that meaning and becoming familiar with it will be without sin. Like a hero taking treasures from the sea and, Like a castle at the boundary of water and fire, Discern between sins and virtues that can and cannot be tolerated. Therefore, you should strive diligently. Thus it was said. Action. From the Ocean Tantra, the ninth chapter is the chapter on vows. The Black Protector again asked: Alas! Secret Lord Vajra-holder, I request you to explain to me in detail the sequence of fire offerings. The Lord of Secrets replied: Maha Kala, listen! The sequence of fire offerings, I will now explain it well to you. There are four types of fire offerings, Their times are spring, summer, autumn, winter, etc., Mornings, noon, evenings, midnight, etc., These should correspond to the activities. On the white mountain peak or the white cow river, Practice pacification in a clean and gentle place. Forests, medicinal gardens, flower gardens, Practice increasing activities in a yellow, oily, and greatly blessed place. At the confluence of three roads, in empty temples, Practice subjugation activities in a red and fiery place. In terrifying places such as charnel grounds and corpse heaps, Practice wrathful activities in rough forests and evil realms.
