In the teachings of Shakyamuni. Strive diligently for the benefit of beings. Her form is like Samantabhadri. Her mind transcends speech and thought. Her speech transcends sound and calculation. The great and supreme blazing body and speech also. Half-hidden in the secret sky. Depart peacefully for the benefit of beings. From the play of the inseparable father and mother. All the Earth Mothers are born. The phenomenal world, the Mother Goddesses arise and clamor. The King of Diseases unites and releases. The root of the Tree of Life is cut off, and bliss is absorbed into the heart. The Mother who equally harmonizes all elements. The Supreme Mother born from the sphere of Bindu. Holding a snake rope in her hand, she releases and gathers the assembly of mothers under control. The one known as Mother Goddess, who gathers all wombs. The light, warmth, and breath that guide the mind, the Lord. The Great Mother of all, the Mother Goddess comes here. This ransom, may the Mother of Existence accept it as food. The essence of grains, a brave man. A sheep's eye in the heart of Shosho. A pearl brain on the tooth of a conch shell. Hair as beautiful as silk ribbons. The right foot is great skillful iron. The left foot is wise copper. This sentient being, the patron, this. With precious jewels hanging from the neck. Lovingly tied to the brave man. Taking off the clothes worn. Draped on the precious and brave Mother. Eight lamps are offered to the eight consciousnesses. Three lamps are offered to body, speech, and mind. The material is precious, eight kinds of grains. The cause is blessed by mantras and mudras. The result is endowed with body, speech, and mind. The interdependence is endowed with eight consciousnesses. The twelve sources are all complete in this. Offerings resemble a coiled venomous snake, Surpassing humans, its gait is like the leader of the herd – the buffalo's gait. Surpassing humans, its voice is as melodious as the Brahma's divine speech. Such immeasurable offerings are presented as ransom for the patron. Queen of Existence, why does she not release the people? Mistress of Pestilence, why does she not quell the pestilence? Mistress of Chronic Illness, why does she not reverse the chronic illness? Mistress of Disease, why does she not quell the disease? Alas! Machig (Tibetan: མ་ཅིག, literally: One Mother) is the Mistress of Existence, Your retinue consists of gods, demons, and spirits. To the demons of the retinue, the command is weak. Your attendants are all demonesses, To the mother of demonesses, the command is weak. If not urged from the crucial point, Then to the patron's ransom, the palms are concealed. To the stern decree, the palms are concealed. The time for the averting mother has come! The time for the transforming mother has come! When urged with wrath for some reason, In the left hand of the Great Mother, The vertebrae of the demonesses sway left and right, Performing the work of a fierce executioner, Lightning arrows fall like a hailstorm, Blood arrows fall like a blizzard. The great demon who disobeys the command, sever the ropes of hell. The time for the averting mother has come! The time for the transforming mother has come! The time to avert disease has come! The time to avert pestilence has come! The time to cut off chronic illness has come! Transform and avert the demons! Avert the eighty-one ill omens! Entrust whatever is desired in the heart at this time! The black mustard seeds, mantra wood, and blood in a bowl, along with the mantra practitioner, attendant, and patron.
