Is attained. If the dream is not over, and there is only a slight understanding in the mind, then liberation will occur in the first bardo. If there is no change in the true meaning, then one has reached the limit. Manifestation gathered under control is the Nirmanakaya. The wisdom of mind, enlightened beings, everyone can directly see, Emaho! Since all appearances are one's own mind, if the last person is not liberated by the key point, then explaining the oral instructions in words is because the nature of things has not been seen. If you do not know that appearance is mind, you will be lost in samsara. If you do not realize that your own mind is Buddha, Nirvana will be obscured. Between samsara and nirvana, there is no difference of a single moment between awareness and ignorance. It is a mistake to see one's own mind as another. If you do not know that mistake is mind, you will never realize the meaning of Dharma, so the wrong view stirs up the purity of the mind. Self-born, self-arisen, look at yourself with yourself. Where did these appearances first come from? Where do they stay in the middle and where do they go in the end? When you look at it, it is like a crow on a boat, flying from the boat and returning to the boat. Appearances arise from the mind and dissolve into the mind. This mind itself is all-knowing, all-aware, and immaculate. Clear and empty like the sky, from the beginning, self-born wisdom is clearly manifest. If you reach the end, that is the Dharma. Do not be distracted, stay in that state. Look at the appearances in the state of mind. When you look, you do not see, and when you stay, you do not subside. The Dharma of the sky recognizes its own face. If you do not realize it like this, mistaken appearances will arise. For example, when a person falls asleep and dreams, men, women, happiness, suffering, and enjoyment appear in the dream. When you wake up, you know that it is your own mind. Likewise, all appearances and existences are mistakenly manifested as if they were dreams of one's own mind. Even if it appears, there is no appearance apart from the mind. In fact, it is like a dream, but it appears to be real even though it is not. For example, in the dark, a rope is mistaken for a snake. Just seeing it will cause fear and fainting. If you investigate and analyze it, you will know that what you see is a rope. The fear of the mind by the mind is a hallucination of the mind. For example, due to wind, bile, phlegm, and eye diseases, hair appears tangled in the empty space. If you do not realize your own mind, you will be controlled by the causes and conditions of afflictions. The three realms, the container and its contents, the six realms of suffering, cause various impure appearances and bad thoughts to arise. But these appearances are also inseparable from the mind.

It is not established apart from the mind, But the mind considers the mind as evil. For example, from wind, sunlight, and rain, Like a rainbow clearly appearing in space. With the thought of accumulating the two accumulations, In the victorious Buddha-field, transforming into gods and goddesses, Pure appearances, good thoughts ablaze in various ways, Even when appearing, it is not established apart from the mind. But the mind considers the mind as good. In reality, the appearance of things is not truly established, Like the moon in water, the image in a mirror, Although appearing, there is no substance in it. When one's own mind does not cease, whatever appears, There is no stirring of any substance. Clearly there is no substance, yet clinging for a long time, Appearing as inanimate objects such as earth, stones, mountains, and rocks. Merely appearing, in reality, there is no truth, it is false. For example, the illusory form of a magician, Although showing various transformations, it is false. All these conventional appearances, although diverse, Not one is truly established, it is frightening. Therefore, all phenomena of existence, samsara and nirvana, Are the visions of one's own mind alone. When one's own mindstream slightly changes, External changes will produce such visions. Therefore, all are visions of the mind, The six realms each see their own karma. Extremists see permanence and annihilation as two. The nine vehicles each see their own vehicle. Seeing various things, various and not the same, Confused in samsara due to clinging to differences with attachment and aversion. Thoughts and afflictions stir the mind with karma, Not understanding that point, sinking into the swamp of suffering. When realizing that all appearances are the mind, Even when visions appear, it is the ungrasping Buddha. Therefore, determine that appearances are the mind. If the root of appearances is not determined as the mind, Even if the branches of a tree are cut, the branches will still grow. Just as cutting the root of a tree, the branches will not grow. Even if thoughts are stopped, various thoughts will still arise. If one knows that thoughts are the mind, they will naturally be liberated. The inanimate world appearing as the container is the mind, The sentient beings of the six realms appearing as the content are the mind, The happiness of gods and humans in the higher realms appearing is the mind, The suffering of the three lower realms appearing is the mind, The appearances of ignorance, afflictions, and the five poisons are the mind, The wisdom of self-arisen awareness appearing is the mind, The habitual tendencies of evil thoughts and samsara appearing are the mind, The good thoughts of nirvana appearing are the mind, The obstacles of demons and spirits
