Please grant the empowerment! Pray like this three times. Then, the lama says: Son of emptiness and mind! Are you willing to enter the meaning of self-liberation? After saying this, the disciple answers: Willing. Then, the disciple bestows the vows: You, having abandoned the clinging to appearance and emptiness, For the sake of the meaning of the self-liberated Dharmakaya, Swear to practice naturally and freely. If you deviate from this, you will destroy yourself. With this oath, drink the oath water. Then, showing the symbolic mandala: In order to eliminate the clinging to emptiness, Look leisurely with the self-liberated, stainless eye. The great mandala is the vast sky. Just as the sky is clear but without substance, The symbol of mind essence being clear but without substance. Just as the sky, without substance, is clear in the realm of space, The symbol of mind essence being empty and manifesting everything. Just as the sky is clear, complete, and indivisible, The symbol of mind essence being clear and empty, indivisible. Just as the sky is boundless and primordially empty, The symbol of mind essence being unmade and free from elaboration. Then, the lama asks: Child, who are you? Answer: I am self-born wisdom. Ask: What is your naked body? Answer: My body is unclothed and naked. After the disciple answers like this, the lama says: The body is originally naked, Putting clothes on it creates the clinging of shame. Similarly, the mind essence is originally empty, Clinging to appearances creates delusion. The body is unadorned, free from the clinging of shame, What is the nature of the body? Naked and clear. Similarly, the mind is without clinging, liberated from delusion, What is the nature of the mind? Realize it as transparent and naked. Thus, showing the symbols, the empowerment is given: Hūṃ hūṃ! Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum Hum!) In the pure mandala of the self-liberated Dharmakaya, With the deities of the meaning of clear and empty sky, Self-born wisdom, effortless Samantabhadra, Bless the unmade, spontaneously accomplished. With this self-liberated symbolic empowerment, The disciple offers gifts and holds a feast of realization. In order to liberate self-grasping in its own place, to the lama, Offer all three doors of your body, speech, and mind. By offering the three doors, attain the fruit of the three kayas. If a person of middling capacity does not understand the symbols, Then instruct them with the essential points of the pith instructions: The way of looking at the three emptinesses, done as before, is: The vision of the Nirmanakaya.

The posture is to look down with both eyes. Rest in the state of clarity and emptiness, non-dual. If that meaning is cultivated for a long time, The arising of the increase and decrease of appearances and experiences, Is also liberated in the emptiness of no self-nature. In emptiness, there is no attachment to emptiness. In the great state of clarity and emptiness without attachment, Clear and bright, do not think of anything. The habitual tendencies of grasping and the grasped, There is nothing at all. In the clear light, in the three times, without time, The original self-liberation, resting in the state of great bliss. No matter what, realize that there is no increase or decrease in clarity. Because the two grasps of appearance and emptiness are liberated in their own place, Directly realizing the essence of self-born awareness, Is the spontaneously accomplished Dharmakaya. The sign of directly reaching the measure of that meaning, In all that is seen of reality, signs, and nature, There is no real attachment to the body, and it does not sink in water. The body has such signs of non-existence, Unlearned Dharma and benefiting others come from the mouth. In the mind, the direct knowledge without defilements arises. Especially in one's own experience, on the three doors of body, speech, and mind, Whatever is grasped is not remembered and forgotten, In the state of clarity and emptiness without grasping, whatever happens, Everything dissolves and disappears into it, There is a clear appearance of mountains and rocks, etc. In that state, there is no difference between day and night, The confusion of dreams is completely cut off and gone. If you cultivate this, you will manifest enlightenment in one year. The fruit does not fall to one side, the mind of complete liberation, Self-liberation, the only certainty, spontaneously accomplished, Emaho! If an inferior person is not liberated by the key point, Then explain the single decisive instruction and proclaim: In the great state of mind-nature, which is originally self-liberated, Meditating on emptiness and non-emptiness, one falls into the wrong path. If you look at appearances, you are confused on the side of characteristics. If you cling to that, you fall to the side of permanence. If you look at emptiness, there is no clear part of wisdom. If you cling to that, you fall to the side of annihilation. If you look at non-duality, you arise grasping as one. If it is established as one, many will also come along. Therefore, emptiness and non-emptiness transcend the object, Unfabricated self-liberation, this is the Dharma-nature. There is no partial attachment to this, Cultivate the state of spontaneous arising without grasping. If there is an unstoppable arising appearance, No matter how it appears, in self-liberation without grasping, Like drawing lines on water, The emptiness of thoughts is liberated and disappears in an instant, before and after. From the beginning, the essence is originally a liberated one, emptiness.
