Whose essence has never been mistaken. In its very nature, there is no confusion. In its compassion, there is no possibility of error. The three realms abide in the great original purity. The all-knowing one, the great wisdom resides in one place. The activity of that wisdom is the five bodies and the five wisdoms, the five lights, the five realms, and the five activities, the five families, the five mothers, the five bases, the five paths, the five fruits, and the five self-lights. These thirty-five sets of five are complete in the face of one wisdom. From the expanse of the Dharmakaya, it arises without obstruction. From the face of the Sambhogakaya, it arises without ceasing. The door of spontaneous and diverse appearances, complete in essence as if acting. Compassion abides as the Nirmanakaya. Furthermore, the abiding nature is like this: The essence of awareness abides as the five bodies. The body is appearance, devoid of characteristics. The radiance of wisdom, a union of emptiness and clarity. The aspect of essence, pure from the beginning. Merely the basis of the three bodies, without the establishment of faces and hands. If there were mouths, eyes, and ears, there would be the possibility of two: form and mind. Those with form are the ordinary six realms. The formless realms are the four formless absorptions. If there are characteristics, it is not original purity. The five bodies of great emptiness and clarity. The essence of the five bodies is the five wisdoms. The radiance of wisdom arises as the five lights. The characteristic of the base is the five wisdoms. The distinction of the five bodies is like this: The single bindu is one with the body. The unchanging rays of light are two with the body. Awareness, Samantabhadra, is three with the body. Awareness, complete with skill, is four with the body. Self-existing nature is five with the body. The essence, the five aspects of wisdom, is that the essence of the Dharmakaya is self-empty. The wisdom of the unchanging Dharmadhatu. (Tibetan: ཆོས་དབྱིངས་འགྱུར་མེད་ཡེ་ཤེས།, Sanskrit Devanagari: धर्मधातु अक्षयज्ञान, Sanskrit Romanization: dharmadhātu akṣayajñāna, Literal Chinese meaning: Dharmadhatu Unchanging Wisdom) The self-radiance of emptiness is self-luminous, therefore, it is the wisdom like a mirror. (Tibetan: མེ་ལོང་ལྟ་བུའི་ཡེ་ཤེས།, Sanskrit Devanagari: आदर्शज्ञान, Sanskrit Romanization: ādarśajñāna, Literal Chinese meaning: Mirror-like Wisdom) Emptiness and clarity are undivided, therefore, it is the great wisdom of equality. (Tibetan: མཉམ་ཉིད་ཆེན་པོའི་ཡེ་ཤེས།, Sanskrit Devanagari: समताज्ञान, Sanskrit Romanization: samatājñāna, Literal Chinese meaning: Great Wisdom of Equality) Qualities arise spontaneously and individually, therefore, it is the wisdom of individual discrimination. (Tibetan: སོ་སོར་རྟོག་པའི་ཡེ་ཤེས།, Sanskrit Devanagari: प्रत्यवेक्षणज्ञान, Sanskrit Romanization: pratyavekṣaṇajñāna, Literal Chinese meaning: Wisdom of Individual Observation) These are spontaneously accomplished on the base, therefore, it is the wisdom of accomplishing activities. (Tibetan: བྱ་བ་གྲུབ་པའི་ཡེ་ཤེས།, Sanskrit Devanagari: कृत्यानुष्ठानज्ञान, Sanskrit Romanization: kṛtyānuṣṭhānajñāna, Literal Chinese meaning: Wisdom of Accomplishing Activities) The radiance of that arises as the five lights. The unchanging light of the Dharmakaya is blue. The light of stainless awareness is white. The light of radiant awareness is yellow. The light of blissful clarity is red. The light of unceasing awareness is green. The appearance of these lights is subtle and clear, bright and dazzling. The self-radiance of nature is undiminished, like a mirage in spring. Like stars and moons appearing in the ocean. One never tires of looking at them, possessing auspicious marks and examples. Wisdom.
