Clearly observe the letters of the earth, and with mantras, generate the deity together with their retinue. Draw in and withdraw the wheel of wisdom, and perfectly accomplish offerings and praises. This is the fifth protection of the wheel. On cremation ground cloth, take two pieces of four fingers' width. Anoint them with the bodhicitta of the father and mother tantras. Mix poisonous and hot substances with the heart blood of a jackal. With a pen made from the root of a crow's feather, draw a mandala of the sun on one, and a mandala of the moon on the other. In the center, write the essence of the secret mantra. With radiating light, through skillful means and wisdom, clearly visualize the two deities. In the realm of dharma, practice the secret mantra. Recite the mantra, apply the vajra mudra of oral transmission. After making a protective knot, anoint the body with the secret seal. Anoint it on the heart of anyone. Protect the three places of vajra. If the vajra holder cannot penetrate, what need is there to mention demons and the like? This is the sixth secret protection. Draw a wheel on cremation ground cloth. Anoint it with incense medicine. Place the first medicines on top of it. Make a protective knot and recite the mantra, bless the five amritas with mantras. Recite the mantra and anoint the body. On the five amritas, at four times, recite the mantra and anoint the body. Bestow empowerment and samadhi upon it. Hang the protective knot around anyone's neck. In no way can it be affected. This is the seventh protection of the protective knot. Abide on the second wheel, surrounded by blazing light. On your own eight-spoked wheel, surround the inner wheel. Manifest the two forms of wrathful deities, residing in the center of the gau. Protect and increase it. Mantra practitioners cannot penetrate. This is the eighth protection of oneself. On flawless, clean cotton cloth, triple wrap it twice, then make three or ten knots. Visualize the palace, and visualize the wrathful deities residing within, endowed with mantras. After performing the drawing in, withdrawing, absorption, and offering, by tying it around anyone's neck, demons and the like cannot penetrate. This is the ninth protection of the knots. On cremation ground cloth or tree bark, anoint it with guggul and plenty of fat. Recite the root mantra and activity mantra of whichever wrathful deity.
