The ninth chapter shows what is needed. Then, the Bhagavan spoke of this practice of the accumulation of enjoyment. The great foundation for accomplishing enjoyment is the mandala of pure secret. The cause and signs of enjoyment are perfectly complete. The mandala is arranged with life, and the celestial palace and the generation of life, the invocation and absorption, and the method of attracting the nature of life, binding life, recitation, moistening life, empowerment, protection, and concealment. If the vows are broken, one will be controlled by obstacles, controlled by enemies, harmed by ḍākinīs, be cursed, encounter accidents, and die untimely. These are said to be the causes of the decline of life. Glory, fire, and the body without harm, the color gray, the abandonment of activities, unease of mind, and the absence of majesty and power, are said to be the signs of the decline of life. The teacher is skilled in cause and mantra, the place is auspicious, and even if it is in decline, it is pleasing. The retinue of the mother and Karma Kiṅkara, the gathering of implements and substances, should enter at an auspicious time. Outer boundaries and outer confessions, inner boundaries and completions. Suppressing oath-breakers and hanging door plaques. Mā traṃ (藏文：མ་ཏྲྂ，梵文天城体：मा त्रं，梵文罗马拟音：mā traṃ，汉语字面意思：嘛 扎) suppressing and with the posture of Vajra, weapons, wrathful ones, blood-drinking ones playing, is said to be the preliminary for one's own life.
