Vajra palms are crossed tightly, the two middle fingers are put together, and the big joints are bent. Being very beautiful like a lotus is the mudra of Avalokiteśvara. The backs of the hands are crossed and the fingers are intertwined. The two thumbs are placed in the middle above. This is the mudra of turning the wheel of Dharma, which can eliminate all obstacles. The left and right hands represent skillful means and wisdom respectively. The heels of the hands are tightly joined, and the vajra fingers are stretched straight, making the shape of a precious rice ear. This is the mudra of Samantabhadra.
