Being lazy and懈怠, being picky about the size of the Tsog food with a stingy mind, and being jealous of the order of seats with a hateful mind. Evil mind, stingy mind, hateful mind. In terms of speech: speaking harshly, saying "you die, I live" and other quarrels, speaking with two tongues and gossiping, and secretly eavesdropping. In terms of body: hitting Buddha statues, stealing property, and robbing beloved things. If you do these things, it is the cause of breaking vows. Doing things that should not be done is the cause of breaking vows, so tantric practitioners should abandon them. Kings, ministers, and people become enemies of each other, dragons and spirits lose wealth, and life is also short. Being severely punished by kings, ministers, and people without one's own fault is an external fear, and the punishment of the holy beings causes harm to dragons, spirits, demons, etc., and loss of wealth is an internal fear. Like drinking poison, one goes to evil destinies. For example, a person who drinks poison feels comfortable at first, but eventually the poison takes effect and he cannot bear to die. Similarly, a vow-breaker may be happy in this life, but will fall into evil destinies in the next life. The vow of body is broken, one great kalpa. If the vow of body is broken, one will be born in evil destinies for one great kalpa. One great kalpa is said in the treatises of the Phenomenology School: starting from a human lifespan of ten years, merit increases, and the lifespan increases to eighty thousand years, which is one small kalpa. Then it gradually decreases, decreasing to a human lifespan of ten years, which is one decreasing kalpa. Twenty such increasing and decreasing kalpas are one intermediate kalpa. Twenty intermediate kalpas of formation, twenty intermediate kalpas of abiding, twenty intermediate kalpas of destruction, and twenty intermediate kalpas of emptiness, so four twenties, a total of eighty intermediate kalpas, are one great kalpa. Or, in a pit with a circumference of one yojana, fill it with fine grains or sesame seeds, and take out one grain each day until it is finished, this is called one intermediate kalpa. The Vajra Hell is very long, like a rock as hard as a vajra, with a circumference of one yojana, continuously wiping it with pigeon feathers until it is worn away, this counts as one great kalpa. If the vow of body is broken towards the guru and Dharma brothers and sisters, the result is to stay in the three evil destinies for one great kalpa. If the vow of speech, mantra, and mudra is broken, one will fall into evil destinies for two great kalpas. If the vow of mind is broken, it is considered to be three great kalpas! Wandering in evil destinies. If it is broken, it should be subdued and compensated. Compensation is to retreat from the vow and then perform.

If one has not turned away from the vows, then the broken ones can be restored. If the root vow is broken three times, then it should be restored. If it is broken once, then restore it. If it is broken twice, then restore it. If it is broken three times, then restore it. If the root vow is broken, then restore it three times. The branch vows, because their nature is sentient beings, are often broken, so they should be constantly restored. One should make a feast offering to restore them, as well as restore the broken ones. To restore with a feast offering is to arrange hundreds of feast offerings and so on according to the scriptures, and restore the broken root and branch vows, so that they are restored. To restore the broken ones to their original state is that if there is a break in the body, if evil thoughts and wrong views arise towards the Vajra Master and Dharma friends, then one should generate regret, ask for forgiveness, and protect oneself later. The break in the body is restored with the body. If the vow of speech is broken, if the mantra and mudra are interrupted, then one should also generate regret for the previous one, and later visualize the deity, make the mudra, recite the heart mantra, and not let it be broken. The vow of speech should be like one day, and cannot be exceeded. These five vows to be practiced, as well as the offerings to be accepted, the months and years that cannot be exceeded, if one can do it, then do it every day. If one cannot do it, then do it every month. If one still cannot do it, then do it every year. One cannot exceed one year, if one exceeds one year, then restore it, if one exceeds two years, then restore it, if one exceeds three years, then restore it. In general, how to know and recognize or realize, especially during the festival offering or the practice of profound close retreat and accomplishment, one should always be in a state of thinking and so on, and practice more diligently. In this way, the two siddhis will be accomplished. Restore with the speech itself. Whether to transmit the secret or not, keep it in your heart. The vow of mind, if you transmit the secret oral instructions to others, do not transmit them later, keep them secret. In short, restore what has passed to its original state. One cannot exceed one day or one month, or one year. In this way, siddhis will be accomplished. Wealth will increase and flourish, enemies, harm, and obstacles will be pacified. If these vows are not broken, even if one does a lot of divination, there will be good things happening, such as places of offering and being regarded as a lama. Wealth will increase, lineage will flourish, inner and outer wealth, and there will be no enemies, obstacles, and hindrances to siddhis, and all wishes will be fulfilled. In the place of the Vidyadharas, there will be no demons.
