The cause. Attachment to acquisition, extreme greed without knowing satisfaction, is ignorance. The faults of being attached to it are: moths die from being attached to the flame, thrushes die from being attached to pleasant songs, flies die from being attached to impure smells, and elephants die from being attached to soft clothes or touch. Therefore, one should abandon the five objects of desire. The cause is the objects of desire. Attachment to it has various faults. There are two aspects to the origin of accumulation: the cause is that the suffering of the six realms arises from relying on the three poisons, therefore it is the origin of accumulation. Or, the cause is that by relying on the three poisons, various actions are accumulated, and from this the suffering of the six realms arises, therefore it is the origin of accumulation (Tibetan: ཀུན་འབྱུང་ས་མུ་ད་ཡ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: समुदय, Sanskrit Romanization: samudaya, Chinese literal meaning: total collection). As it is said, "Accumulation (Tibetan: ས་མུ་ད་ཡ་ཀྱ་སྨཱད་, Sanskrit Devanagari: समुदय, Sanskrit Romanization: samudaya, Chinese literal meaning: total collection), action (Tibetan: ཀརྨ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: कर्म, Sanskrit Romanization: karma, Chinese literal meaning: action), affliction (Tibetan: ཀླེ་ཥ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: क्लेश, Sanskrit Romanization: kleśa, Chinese literal meaning: affliction), Yaksha (Tibetan: ཡཀྵ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: यक्ष, Sanskrit Romanization: yakṣa, Chinese literal meaning: Yaksha)." Therefore, suffering arises from the nature of action and affliction, and affliction refers to attachment and so on, which are desired to arise and be reborn again in the three realms. Action refers to non-virtuous actions and tainted virtuous actions, which are called the origin of accumulation. Relying on the three poisons, the result is the six realms of evil destinies. Increase has two aspects: the cause is the arising of conceptual thought, and the result is the arising of suffering in this life and the next. The cause is conceptual thought, and the result is the arising of suffering in this life and the next. Following the cause of conceptual thought, the result is that the suffering of food and clothing in this life, and the suffering of death and rebirth in the next life, all increase. Or, suffering increases from conceptual thought. The way of conditions is as follows: there are three types of conditions: present, past, and future conditions. The present suffering arises from the actions of the previous life, and that kind of suffering will become the cause of the future life. The suffering of the future life will also become the cause of the future life. Therefore, suffering is transmitted from one to another, becoming the condition for arising. The present, past, and future are conditions. Cessation, called Nirodha (Tibetan: རོ་དྷི་, Sanskrit Devanagari: निरोधि, Sanskrit Romanization: nirodhi, Chinese literal meaning: cessation), as it is said, "Nirodha (Tibetan: ནི་རོ་དྷྱནྟེ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: निरोध, Sanskrit Romanization: nirodha, Chinese literal meaning: cessation) is the cessation of all afflictions (Tibetan: སརྦ་ཀླེ་ཤ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: सर्वक्लेश, Sanskrit Romanization: sarvakleśa, Chinese literal meaning: all afflictions)." Therefore, by attaining cessation, all afflictions will cease, therefore it is called cessation. Cessation is self-luminous. The cause is cause, condition, and result. Cessation is the cessation together with suffering, the cause is the cessation of afflictions, and the condition is conceptual thought.

Cessation is so called because it stops following. Cessation is so called because it stops the suffering of the fruit. For example, in the monastery of Trigatika, just as a monk enters into cessation. Cessation is so called because it stops all the continuous streams of conceptualization. Because the meaning of the four truths of the Hearers is realized and practiced, the Hearers enter into cessation, wanting to rise from the teachings of Maitreya. Peace is: There are five. The fire of affliction is extinguished, the fire of faults is extinguished, the fire of enjoyment is extinguished, the fire of conduct is extinguished, and the fire of feeling is extinguished. The extinguishing of the fire of affliction is: in the state of Nirvana, there are no three poisons of affliction. Because it completely abandons the three poisons from the root. The extinguishing of the fire of faults is: in Nirvana, all the sufferings of samsara are pacified, and all the faults of dwelling in samsara are pacified. The extinguishing of the fire of enjoyment is: in the state of Nirvana, there is no suffering of formation, because there is no suffering of food and drink. As for conduct: there is no discomfort in all activities such as walking, sleeping, sitting, and lying down. Feeling is: all of the three realms do not go beyond the three feelings, all feelings of pleasure are the suffering of change, all experiences of suffering are the suffering of suffering, and all experiences of neutral feeling are the suffering of formation. There are no three feelings in Nirvana. Hearers who enter into cessation have no suffering, therefore it is peace. The five fires are extinguished, therefore it is peace. Afflictions and faults are absent, enjoyment, conduct, and feeling are pacified. Fertility and the barrenness of afflictions. There are three kinds of fertility: the barrenness of afflictions, the barrenness of bad destinies, and the barrenness of suffering. The fertility of the barrenness of afflictions is: the barrenness of afflictions is not moistened by tranquility, and is not plowed by the plow of wisdom, on which all supramundane sprouts will not grow. The fertility of bad destinies is: if the barrenness of bad destinies is not moistened by the noble path, the state of liberation in higher realms will not arise. The fertility of the barrenness of suffering is: if the barrenness of suffering is not moistened by happiness, the noble path will not arise, therefore, it must be moistened by happiness. Because it is free from all faults, it is called fertility. Because it is free from the three faults of barrenness, it is called fertility. Three kinds of bad destinies, suffering, and barrenness. Definite arising has four aspects in terms of cause and condition: definite cause, condition, path, and definite fruit. And
