Sa. Appearances and non-appearances are twofold. The appearance that arises from delusion appears as the three realms and three cities. The appearance that is not deluded is the very nature of the mind, luminous and self-existing. There are two types of non-appearance: those not apparent to the deluded, such as rabbit horns and the children of barren women, flowers in the sky, turtle hairs, lion's saliva, and so on, are impossible phenomena. The non-appearance that is not deluded is the unconditioned nature of reality, free from grasping at space, the stainless Dharmakaya. What becomes the life of sentient beings, called wind, performs all actions. This is the mount of consciousness, with five natures and ten names. The subtle nature of one hundred and sixty, these are the causes of the wind's mount, moving day and night. How does it move so well? The life-sustaining wind is life itself, inseparable from the mind and one with it. Through the difference between realization and non-realization, it performs all the actions of samsara and nirvana. The winds are the basis of all afflictions, and the appearances of mind and the five senses are that the winds, through subtle forms, mix with consciousness and correct knowledge, arise from the paths of the senses, and enter into all objects. The five root aggregate winds are life-sustaining, fire-equalizing, pervasive, and are said to move upwards and downwards. The five branch sense winds are that in the eye, the wind of fire moves, making all forms visible. In the ear, the wind of wind moves, making all sounds audible. In the nose, the wind of earth moves, making all smells perceptible. In the tongue, the wind of water moves, making all tastes experienceable. In the body, the wind of space moves, making all tangible objects experienceable. External and internal thoughts move in the channels, riding on the wind. The eighty kinds of nature with thoughts, the wind's mount moves day and night. Therefore, one should grasp the wind and practice. The aspect of grasping the whole is from the head to the feet, until reaching the heart, the yoga truly enters the end. This is called grasping the whole. Likewise, the subsequent analysis is like in the mirror of breath, gradually from the edge like a central house, the yoga truly enters the end. This is called subsequent analysis.
