Please subdue. (Please) destroy the four maras, and place (us) in the state of the four wisdoms. (Please) empty the abodes of the evil destinies, and establish (us) on the path to enlightenment. Praise to you, the king of power, whose horse's neigh resounds. The emanation of Heruka, the four wrathful kings. The emanation of the four lineages, emanating as the four wrathful ones. Abiding in the four directions, incarnating to subdue the wicked. With smoky black hair ablaze, adorned with a garland of skulls. Wearing three burning garments. Holding weapons of wickedness in their hands. The first right hand holds an enemy axe and a hook, and the last hand holds a wicked stake. The left hand holds a banner of flames. To subdue the wicked, they strive in fierce actions. Emanating many, striving in true actions. Proclaiming unbearable terrifying sounds, destroying the armies of demons, and also gnashing their teeth. They act as guardians who benefit all of existence. Their bodies are terrifying and ablaze. Their speech proclaims fierce roars. Their minds perform actions filled with power. The spaces between their wings are filled with burning hooks. Emanations of small wrathful ones burn, filling the pores of their skin. Many wisdom dakinis are busy with activities. They also topple Mount Meru of the world from its side. They also dry up the course of the great ocean. They dwell in the midst of a burning mountain of flames. They adorn their bodies with charnel ground ornaments. With sharp fangs, they sever birth and death from their roots. With just a turn of their eyes, they enslave the three realms. Guiding compassion into the Dharmadhatu, they establish samsara in the supreme state. I prostrate and praise the four fierce Herukas. Thus it was said. From the Tantra of the Play of the Supreme Horse. This is the chapter, the one hundred and twenty-third, praising Hayagriva and the retinue of the four Herukas. Then, the King of Power spoke again, saying this: There are thirty-two blind people back-to-back, and eight attendants of karma called the blind. The thirty-two blind people back-to-back are emanations of the thirty-two dakinis. The eight attendants of karma called the blind are the eight gatekeepers of the King of Power's mind. Having turned away from the eightfold noble path, they abide in one-pointed concentration, asceticism, and the samadhi of madness. It is not like there are eight wrathful ones, for in the Able One, the Blind One, there is no form of consciousness whatsoever. From the habit of a loose body,
