And perfection, experience the vidyadhara, thus it was declared. From the root tantra of the Gathering of Vidyadharas, the second chapter, the Condensed Practice. Then Vajradhara King, spoke thus to the assembly of vidyadharas: Ema, assembly of vidyadharas, in the future, future times, after me, the vidyadharas, bodhisattvas, should know and see like this: existence and peace, reality and emptiness, samsara and nirvana, happiness and suffering, conceptual appearances, but the nature of phenomena, the characteristics of phenomena, are all empty without remainder. The place of knowing, not even a mote of dust exists. Skandhas, dhatus and ayatanas, and dependent arising, arising and ceasing, etc., are empty by their very nature. Things, signs, characteristics, and the basis of characteristics, etc., all are unborn, unceasing, impermanent, unceasing, not going, not coming, free from the extremes of existence and non-existence, this pervades all. This is to be realized, the basis of practice is mind, appearances and existence, arise from mind. That nature cannot be examined nor indicated, although a wise person seeks it, yet it can never be found or seen. The nature of sentient beings is enlightenment, and enlightenment itself is that. That is also the knower, the supreme vidyadhara, desire does not arise in that, like seeking the edge of space, whoever knows it as an illusion, for them, the supreme transformation is not long. By merely expressing with terms, one can realize and become aware. For example, the taste of ocean salt, cannot be realized without tasting, when one diligently tastes it, then the taste free from doubt has been tasted, and one knows the taste of all salt. Likewise, the meaning of the true ultimate, cannot be expressed without expressing, with symbols, means and blessings, and knowledge of examples, meanings, and signs, if one can ascertain and possess warmth, then self-awareness wisdom will be seen. Abiding, conduct and attainment, do not arise from merely hearing, like the leaves and fruits of medicine, although they grow, they are not beneficial for disease, dharmas that have not been practiced, do not become antidotes, likewise. Likewise, crossing a great river, and the abundance of others, and showing a picture to the blind, and making a sound in the ear of the deaf, and a seed burned by fire, and defiled by earth.

Like water. Without realizing the ground and without traversing the path, Without accomplishing the result, it is just like that. Furthermore, fire resides in the kindling wood, Ghee resides in milk, And fruit arises from seeds as well, Without churning, without cultivating, without generating, They will not arise. Without seeing, without knowing, without understanding, Without cultivating, without relying, it will not arise. With wisdom alone, without skillful means, One will fall into nihilism. With skillful means alone, one will be bound, Without wisdom, there is no liberation. Without both, it is the path of samsara, Holding onto one side binds with both. In union and without separation, Practice, the victorious ones have said. At first, it is only spoken of as conventional truth, Having known that, then the ultimate truth is taught, In later times, one becomes a knowledge holder. Some feign my conduct, Saying there is a permanent self, Refute those statements. Saying that the person is the doer, Accumulated by the twelve links, it is permanent, Not abandoning its own cause and effect, Such a statement is not reasonable. The permanent is empty because it has no function, Like a rabbit's horn. If it is said to be non-pervasive but capable of functioning, Does it happen gradually or simultaneously? If it is said to be gradual, then permanence is destroyed, Because there is a sequence in it. If it is said to be simultaneous, then that cause's, Unobstructed ability, for the fruit, At the time of generation, as if it exists, At the time of non-generation, does it exist or not? If it exists, then the simultaneous generation is destroyed, Because it can generate even later. If it is said to arise by encountering conditions, Then the idea of permanence is destroyed, Because the cause cannot generate, But it is generated by external conditions. At the time when the fruit is not generated, If it is said that the ability is not unobstructed, Then the change of unobstructed and obstructed, The idea of permanence is destroyed. Therefore, if it functions simultaneously, Then the fruit should be accomplished in an instant, Like aging immediately after being born, Like a sprout ripening into fruit. Because one wants it to function simultaneously. If one thinks like that, then it contradicts direct perception. Furthermore, your fruit, Because the impermanent cause is not established, If one side pervades with permanence, Does it generate an existing fruit or a non-existing fruit? If it already exists, then there is no need to generate it, The fruit will have the fault of being endless. If one thinks that a non-existing fruit is generated, Then does the cause benefit that non-existing thing? If it benefits, then the fruit is not established, Definitely
