Unexperienced dharmas, likewise, cannot become antidotes. Like crossing a great river, and the abundance of others, also like showing a picture to a blind person, proclaiming sound to a deaf person, burning seeds with fire, and like water muddied by soil. The uncomprehended basis, the untrodden path, the unaccomplished result, are likewise. Furthermore, fire resides in flint, butter resides in milk, fruit arises from seeds, but if not churned, not practiced, not generated, then they cannot appear. Likewise, without seeing, without knowing, without understanding, without practicing, without relying, it does not arise. Wisdom alone without means, will become nihilism. Means alone also becomes bondage, without wisdom there is no liberation. The path of samsara is the absence of both, one side alone binds both. The Victorious Ones said to practice in union and without separation. Initially, only the conventional truth is spoken, having known that, then the ultimate truth is shown. In the later times, those who hold knowledge, some feign my conduct, saying there is a permanent self, refuting them. Saying that the person is the agent, accumulated by the twelve links, therefore permanent, not abandoning its own cause and effect, this saying is unreasonable. The permanent is empty because it has no function, like a rabbit's horn. If not pervasive, can it perform a function? Does it act gradually or simultaneously? If it acts gradually, then permanence is destroyed, because it has sequence. If simultaneously, then its cause, having unobstructed power, that fruit, as it exists at the time of arising, when not arising, does it exist or not? If it exists, then simultaneous arising is destroyed, because it also arises later. If it arises by meeting with conditions, then the thought of permanence is destroyed, because it does not arise from a cause, but arises from an external condition. When the fruit does not arise, if it is not a power without obstruction, then with the change of obstruction and non-obstruction, the thought of permanence is destroyed. Therefore, if acting simultaneously, then the fruit should be accomplished in an instant, like aging immediately after birth, like a sprout ripening into fruit. Because it is desired to act simultaneously. If one thinks like that, then it contradicts direct perception. Furthermore, your fruit, not

Because the cause is not established. If it is said that it is pervaded by a one-sided sign, does it produce a fruit that exists or does not exist? If it already exists, there is no need to produce it, the fruit will become an infinite fault. If you think of producing what does not exist, then what benefit does the cause have for what does not exist? If there is a benefit, then the fruit is not established, because it is not established in the object to be established. If no benefit is given, then that which is produced, is not established, saying "person-self," because no benefit is given to everything. Therefore, after preventing the clinging to the self of a person, Abandoning self-clinging to phenomena, The Hearers, Solitary Realizers, and Mind-Only, examine that there is a self of phenomena. The first object of grasping, minute particles adhering and not touching, like yak hair and piles of grass. All minds clinging to it are pacified. The six aggregates are considered ultimately real. This is unreasonable, not established, the object of grasping, the phenomenon, in ultimate truth, does not exist, because it is separate from one and many. If it is said that it exists without pervading, does it exist in one or in many? If it is one, does it have parts or not have parts? If it has parts, then it is not established as one, because accepting parts becomes many. Existence without parts is not established, because without parts it becomes non-existent. If you accept that, then the previous existence disappears. If it is said that it exists in many, then does it depend on one or not depend? Not depending is not the acceptance of many, because without one, many cannot be established. If it depends, then it is not established, how can the many that depend exist? Because counting one is many. Those who accept the single Buddha, on that where there is no external object, cling to it as ultimately real. This is unreasonable, because if there is no object, then clinging to it cannot be established, if dreams and illusions are not established, then the mind clinging there cannot be established either. The acceptance of the Solitary Realizer will be exhausted. That which is called Mind-Only clinging, the objects are appearances of the mind, with emptiness, that is, both the grasped and the grasper, the action is clear, not depending on others. Consider feeling to be ultimately real. This is unreasonable, the refutation is: That clinging mind, the phenomenon, does not exist in the face of measuring ultimate truth. If the object to be grasped is not established, then what does the grasping mind grasp? If it is said that one side does not pervade, then the previous fruit is exhausted, existence and non-existence, birth and non-birth, are harmed there. From the previous moment of the mind, when the later moment arises, the cause the result exists as a real entity.
