The vehicle that grasps at two sides, its view and conduct become two extremes. External yogis conquer, but do not realize the meaning of spontaneous accomplishment. The Dharma of the vehicle and the Dharma of samsara, all are the essence of secret mantra. Whatever way phenomena appear, that is how they appear. Like dirt on gold, whether separated or not, all is the same as gold. Likewise, all abide in the essence of secret mantra. Great yogic beings should realize the view in this way. The paths are those traversed in stages, the vehicles of gods and humans with characteristics. They are the supports for the path of secret mantra, like measures of phul, dre, and khal. If the view is not mistaken and without acceptance or rejection, all become supports for the path of mantra. Therefore, know that secret mantra is the supreme path, especially excellent. To cut through the deviations and obscurations of the view, all vehicles are conditions for mantra. Like recognizing poison in food, abandon what is poisonous and consume what is not. Having abandoned the defilement of wrong views, accept the good view. All the vehicles without exception are taught to bring forth the greatness of secret mantra. They are explained to represent the essence of secrecy, intended for beings to traverse the path of liberation. They are explained to know deviations, obscurations, faults, and virtues, therefore secret mantra is common. Skillful means and wisdom are the path of the vehicle, traversed by the power of skillful means. The guru's instructions are struck as the essential point. The guru completely cuts off attachments with sound, bestowing the five wisdom empowerments with the vase. The channels, places, and forms of the body are the deity's body in the generation stage. They purify the defilements of the body, and upon completing the sixth ground, the nirmanakaya is attained. The guru reveals self-arisen wisdom, and with the secret empowerment, burning and dripping in the path of tummo. They purify the defilements of speech, and upon completing the fourth ground, the sambhogakaya is accomplished. One goes to the state of Vajradhara, the guru reveals coemergent wisdom. With the wisdom-jnana empowerment, through joy, supreme joy, joy beyond joy, and coemergent joy. They purify the defilements of mind, and upon completing two and a half grounds, yogis and yoginis attain the result. They are joined with the dharmakaya, the guru reveals all dharmas as pure. The nectar composed of the essence of the three realms is drawn from the three life-channels. Having trained the path of vajra waves, the obscurations of body, speech, and mind are purified. The essential winds are naturally liberated, the essence of the great earth.
