All appearances in foreign lands, Are not the existence of those lands, But the very appearances of the Alaya consciousness, That various things appear. If the appearing things are destroyed, Because their individual characteristics do not exist, When destroyed, they dissolve into the state of space. If that very space is destroyed by five, It dissolves into a state without characteristics. Everything is the source of all. A moment without foundation. Non-stopping appearances is the method, Emptiness of inherent existence is wisdom itself. The consciousness of afflictions, Is the very Alaya, the object of appearance and experience. Discriminating "I" and "mine," Holding onto the characteristics of pleasure and pain separately. In the absence of things in the Alaya, There is no place for habits and so on. In the absence of appearing things, Afflictions cannot be taken by the mind. There is no instructing and being instructed, Thus, there is no entity that acts. Even though there is nothing, the mind wrongly clings, Therefore, it constantly wanders in the prison of the three realms. The consciousness of the mind, Towards both appearance and non-appearance, Is a moment's discrimination. If discrimination itself is not established, How can the objects of the environment be established? The continuous nature of the mind's suchness, The previous moment has passed and cannot be found, The next moment has not yet arisen and cannot be examined. The present moment's nature cannot be found. Like the wind blowing on the tip of a plant, The stream is not completely cut off, This is the universal cause. Thus, things have no entity. Like water, wind, and waves, These three are neither one nor separate. Similarly, the Alaya is affliction, Neither one nor separate. The realm of Dharma and the realm of equality, All wisdom is without distinction, And cannot be spoken of as one. Thus, those who do not understand are sentient beings, If understood, there is no other Buddha. The suchness of the Bodhi mind, Extremely invisible and difficult to examine, Vast and extensive, deep and profound, It is realized through profound wisdom. From where does it not come, where does it not go? There is no coming and going. Extremely difficult to examine, invisible, There is no beginning or middle to examine. The suchness free from grasping and being grasped, Appears in such a way as without object. The realm and the wisdom of the realm, Are merely self-awareness. All sentient beings without exception, Should understand it in this way. Without afflictions and suffering, And, the supreme fruit will be obtained.

Towards all sentient beings, may the thread of compassion never be severed, Liberating them from the path of afflictions, may they be pleased by all loving-kindness. Likewise, in the prison of samsara, having greatly extended the lasso of compassion, May they be drawn from the mud of afflictions, may they be protected by great compassion. Likewise, towards all ordinary beings, may they not be stained by the obscurations of karma, May all manifestly attain Buddhahood, may there be no regret for all joys. Towards sentient beings, self and non-self, may compassion not create duality, May the mind be fixed as if on a single child, may all be without impurity. Since all phenomena are emptiness, in that there is no reality or thought, Abiding in the nature of space, in that there is no alteration or change. Since all phenomena are without characteristics, since all appearances are without substance, All that is existent and non-existent, is not perceived because of the absence of characteristics. Transcendent and mundane, the various appearances of phenomena, Since they are not other than oneself, there is no longing or attachment to all. All Bodhicitta, because they are extremely difficult to contemplate and profound, are not the object of thought, unapprehended, unapprehendable, and without apprehension. What is the nature of mind itself? Buddhahood is that very mind, Since mind and Buddhahood are inseparable, with all sentient beings, All phenomena of the three times, all without exception are the nature of phenomena, Mind and Buddhahood are gathered into the nature, the Great Bodhi spoke thus. A person endowed with great intelligence, speaks without obstruction in anything, In practice itself, there is no attachment, it remains undiminished without end. Thus, in all appearances, although manifest perception always sees, In appearance itself, there is no substance, thus realize it as it truly is. Whoever says there is existence in emptiness, understands the nature of non-existence, Like a rabbit's horn and a barren woman's son, only words can be applied, But all are mere names, there is no emptiness. Saying that all is empty, is not an unconscious blankness, The nature of non-thought is clear light, thus all appearances, There are no phenomena with substance, it is only the nature of knowing. If all is realized as non-dual, that is the ultimate realm, It is not sought or placed from elsewhere, if sought from existence, it becomes an imputation, if sought from non-existence
