do. Therefore, it is called East. For all sentient beings, afflictions and suffering do not remain, and the darkness of ignorance has set in the west. Therefore, it is called the West. All the afflictions of all sentient beings, with great wisdom and selflessness, suffering is completely purified, therefore it is called the North. Thus, for all, compassion rises in the east and obscurations set in the west. The characteristics of conceptualization have been purified, therefore, great qualities are perfected. Thus, all dharmas gather in the realm of their own nature. All directions are rounded in such a nature. Look at all directions in this way. Due to ignorance and inversion, the directions are grasped as different, and they constantly revolve in the cycle of afflictions. The vow called the five senses is: to exercise power over the five objects, and to grasp the inverted as real. Grasping the real causes the three realms to revolve. For all forms, they appear but have no substance, and are contemplated as the objects of gods and goddesses. I and the nature of the gods are inseparable. The various manifestations of sounds, know that sound itself has no substance. All spoken sounds are various great Dharma sounds. The substance that appears as smell, smell itself has no nature. The Dharma nature of smelling is smell, and it is understood in this way with great wisdom. The substance that appears as taste, the nature of taste does not exist. The taste that is tasted is the taste of suchness, and it is satisfied with that happiness. The various tactile sensations that appear, there is no tactile substance at all, what appears as tactile sensation is enjoyment, great bliss is the Dharmakaya. Those who do not understand and are inverted, if the senses are attached to the objects, they are constantly inseparable from desire, the three lower realms and the eight unfavorable conditions, like a fire of grass and straw, revolve in the three realms. Therefore, with wisdom, understand non-attachment, do meritorious deeds such as giving, act on everything without being attached, and constantly practice great wisdom. The vow called the five equalities is: equality of no birth in the ultimate sense, equality of illusion in the conventional sense, equality of no difference between the ultimate truth and the conventional truth, equality of the five great ones with the five Tathagatas,

The equality of the eight consciousnesses being transformed into the five wisdoms. Among these, in terms of the ultimate truth, the equality of being unborn is that all phenomena, without exception, are the nature of suchness and the limit of emptiness, reality and the realm of phenomena, without characteristics and without objects, ungraspable and without aspirations, are inherently in a state of peace and nirvana. Everything is the nature of space, but even space has no characteristics. In terms of conventional equality as illusion, the various conditioned things all appear as illusions, and all temporary actions are also performed. They appear as the characteristics of all thoughts. All of these are like reflections, appearing as actions but without substance. Everything abides like the moon in water, everything appears but has no inherent nature. In terms of the inseparability of ultimate truth and convention, all phenomena, without exception, arise from a rootless source, neither existent nor non-existent. The inseparability of ultimate truth and convention is that the unconditioned appears as the conditioned, and in the nature of appearance there is no substance. The nature of non-existence is manifold, and that is like illusion and visual impairment. The five great elements being equal to the five Tathagatas is that from earth, water, fire, wind, and space, wondrous transformations arise, but there is no root, and they arise naturally in that way. The appearance of individual family groups is always equal in great skillful means, and the abiding of individual characteristics is equal in the nature of the realm of wisdom. The equality of the eight consciousnesses being transformed into the five wisdoms is that it is not the discriminating alaya, but the natureless basis of meaning, which is called the realm of phenomena, and is the wisdom of suchness. All phenomena, without exception, do not grasp at self or what belongs to self, and everything is of an undifferentiated nature, so everything is like a mirror. Everything momentarily arises as discrimination in everything, and there is no discrimination or examination. It is not perceived in the three times, and this is the wisdom of equality. Due to the power of inverted discrimination, the field of activity is abandoned, the objects of the senses are unreal, and everything is undifferentiated suchness, which is the wisdom of individual discrimination. Thus, examine the five equalities. In all phenomena, examine the inherent emptiness from the beginning, and the spontaneous accomplishment of great skillful means. This is the true and correct sign. The samaya called the mandala of dharma is the accumulation of merit and wisdom.
