It is because of becoming the hand seal. It is said like that. In that way, it becomes something with characteristics, if it is said that it appears as the fruition, the conventional body and wisdom, then it is not established. Even though it appears like that, it does not become an existing characteristic because its essence cannot be grasped in any way. And it is not that it cannot accomplish anything, because the two forms that appear to others are also self-appearing, so like an illusion, it accomplishes the purpose of activity. Even at that time, the essence itself does not change into something else, because it is uncompounded and free from arising and ceasing, it does not move from the Dharmakaya. Likewise, The play of wisdom is also accumulated, The victorious ones appearing are protectors, The blessings appearing are also the same, With the glory of the ability to act, Illusion, the powerful Vajra is supreme. It is said like that. The second is the characteristic, the intention of all the Buddhas of the pure lineage becomes one taste like pouring water into water, or like a pile of firewood, it is not a different lineage, because all extremes such as one and many are not abandoned and are separated. Because the unspeakable meaning is manifested, it is liberated from the object to be grasped. That is also from the three stages, Because the characteristic has a basis, Therefore, it is not entirely one, nor is it different. It is said. In the core text, it says, The characteristic is neither one nor many. It is said. What is that? For the Buddhas, because the Dharmakaya pervades, without moving from one, the Rupakaya appears as different, so it is separated from one, the nature of the different Rupakayas that are pervaded does not move from the Dharmakaya, so it is separated from different lineages, so it is separated from many. For that, there is no extreme of both and neither of both. Because one and many are not established, its extreme is refuted. Other than that, even the Buddhas will not see, because it transcends the object of seeing and being seen. Therefore, the intention is self-illuminating without object and object-possessor. Likewise, Separated from one and many, There is no end and no center, it is suchness. Even the Buddhas do not see, Self-born wisdom appears without a place. It is said. The third is the variety, There are varieties of names, Of essence, Of places. The first is, In the Lamrim, The number of uncommon Buddha names, Sugata, Tathagata, Bhagavan, Buddha, Great joy.

Inconceivable are expressions and the like. Thus it is. Secondly, there are the common and the supreme. Firstly, there are two: the support and the supported. The first is the three kāyas. As it is said in this very text: The Dharmakāya is immeasurable and inexpressible, the Sambhogakāya is a treasure of stainless riches, and the Nirmāṇakāya is beyond comprehension. Thus it is. The second is the four wisdoms. As it is said in the Ornament of the Sūtras: The mirror-like wisdom is unmoving, the three wisdoms depend on it, the wisdoms of equality and discrimination, and the wisdom of accomplishing activities alone. Thus it is. Secondly, there are the appearances of distinct categories and the nature of spontaneous accomplishment without separation. Firstly, there are three: extensive, intermediate, and concise. The first, the extensive, is that each of the five—body, speech, mind, qualities, and activities—is inconceivable. Among these, the body is: As it is said in this very text: The all-pervading body is inconceivable, thus it is. Speech is: The all-pervading speech is inconceivable, thus it is. Mind is: The all-pervading mind is inconceivable, thus it is. Qualities are: As it is said in the extensive text: Because it is adorned with the eye of wisdom, the fields and qualities are inconceivable. Thus it is. Activities are: As it is said in this very text: In the ten directions, worlds as numerous as dust motes, the deeds of the Victorious Ones are as numerous as dust motes, the emanations are countless as dust motes, spontaneously accomplished in an instant. Thus it is. Secondly, dividing into intermediate, as it is said in the Body of the Text: They are also five each according to the occasion, thus each one is also five each. Among these, the first five kāyas are: The nature of the complete realization of one's own benefit, the liberation of wisdom in the realm of space, is the Dharmakāya. As it is said in this very text: Although it does not move from suchness, and, the indestructible Yungdrung body without birth or death. Thus it is. Without moving from that, for the sake of taming beings, in the presence of the pure tenth bhūmi, the very body of the support is transformed into stainlessness, appearing with the signs and marks of the uncommon result of the lineage, is the Sambhogakāya. As it is said in this very text: The form body of true liberation, thus it is. For the sake of taming impure beings in the six realms, according to their inclinations, appearing in various ways and performing benefit and happiness, is the Nirmāṇakāya. As it is said in this very text: For the sake of taming all beings, it shows various bodies in accordance, thus it is. Thus, although appearing as two form bodies, they have no self-nature, not moving from the Dharmakāya, or the Dharmakāya and the form bodies are inseparable.
