If there are three situations of intermediate, lower, and upper, then if these situations exist, does it mean that sudden transcendence can also occur from the Vipaka (ripening) level? Zur Jambapa Sengge replied: Although the Vidyadhara of Vipaka can only be obtained from the direct fruit Mahamudra, because there is a difference in wisdom between the speed and slowness of combining the indirect fruit with the upper path, what contradiction is there? It is not pervasive. Gyawa Gongba said: There is no fault in the sudden transcendence occurring from the great wise person who has accumulated perfect qualities, because the "Small Path" says: "Whether or not the ability is obtained, it will become two paths of seeing." Therefore, the greatest wise person who has accumulated perfectly sees the truth of Dharma-nature in the contaminated, thereby obtaining the uncontaminated path of seeing, and does not need to rely on Vipaka and life empowerment. This statement is also unreasonable. Because the proof of the "Small Path" will be explained below as Vipaka for those who have not obtained the ability, and life empowerment for those who have obtained the ability. Seeing the truth of Dharma-nature in the contaminated, if it is considered seeing the self-nature, that is also unreasonable, because it has been explained before. Third, generally explain the actions of contaminated and uncontaminated, and related to this, specifically explain the meaning through the distinction between the existence and non-existence of contaminated and uncontaminated. First, actions driven by complete afflictions, flowing and changing in the three realms, are therefore contaminated. The opposite of this is uncontaminated. As the "Sparkha" says: "These exist in worldly people, and become contaminated because of attachment." Specifically, clinging to the inverted fabrications of afflictions, and the body abandoning the body involuntarily, and experiencing feelings of unhappiness and involuntariness, and the power of karma involuntarily accepting the body, these are the contaminated of the place of birth. Among them, the clinging to afflictions is the main one, because it makes the seeds of the cause of flowing in samsara firm. The remaining three are servants, because they alone cannot bind in samsara. Second, in general, there are four situations of contaminated and uncontaminated: the path where contaminated does not exist but uncontaminated exists; the path where both contaminated and uncontaminated exist; the path where contaminated exists but uncontaminated does not exist; the path where neither contaminated nor uncontaminated exists. The first situation is: the ultimate fruit of the Hinayana, obtaining the uncontaminated Arhat, and then entering the Mantra Vehicle, abiding on the path of accumulation and the path of preparation. The second situation is: the four yogas of the path of accumulation, namely,

In the Lamrim, it says: "The root of all vows, as spoken by Vajrasattva, if not guarded as they are, the wrathful Yaksha with a fiery garland, will extract the heart and drink the blood, and that suffering will be unbearable. Therefore, there is regression in the four paths." Thus, in the context of view, the essence of supreme accomplishment, like the Makara seal, first understand the meaning and do not abandon it in the end. If it is said that after realizing the view, one does not regress in samsara, is there a contradiction here in saying that one regresses from elaboration? There is no fault. The former is sudden, from the very beginning, it speaks of the merit of realizing the indivisible and decisive. The latter is gradual, and it is a fault because the self-nature of the view has not yet been realized. The third is the accumulation of merit, which, with realization and familiarity, combines with the uncontaminated like the number of times of the result, because there is no other interruption in an instant. Although it is currently contaminated, it does not generate a similar result in the future, so there is no regression. Because it combines without interruption. Or, even if one does not obtain the uncontaminated in the bardo, one does not regress to lower realms due to the merit of accumulating merit. Like the common path of joining, the forbearance. The fourth is the four Vidyadharas: the ripening, the empowerment at the time of the complete path, the Mahamudra, and the spontaneously accomplished Vidyadhara. As it says in the Thugthig: "From then on, the four are free from contamination." And as it says in the Lamrim: "This great lineage that has exhausted all contamination, no matter how it is practiced, there is no regression." Here, some say that the ripening Vidyadhara should not be uncontaminated, because the contamination of body, realm, and birthplace has not been abandoned. In response, Lhaje (respected physician), you also say that although it is contaminated, it is placed in the category of uncontaminated, like shooting an arrow into a man's vitals, which should not be said. Because one should not be counted as uncontaminated until one is free from contamination. If it is said that it is certain to become uncontaminated, then the moment, continuity, and end of accumulating merit will also become so. The analogy is also not established. Why is a person placed among the dead before he dies? If it is said that it is because he is certain to die, then all sentient beings will become so. It is not pervasive, if it is said that it is because of rapid death, then even short-lived sentient beings of the insect class will become so. Lhaje (respected physician)
