Like the dependent and the depended upon. Thus it is said. The third is, by measuring with the reasoning of the five previously arisen things, and the five ways of subsequent application and the reasoning of the five words, it is to establish the clinging appearance as suchness, which has been extensively explained in the context of the lineage of the view of suchness. In short, to see the meaning of the indivisibility of truth with the direct perception of self-awareness, nakedly and clearly, in the absence of an object, is called the realization of the view. As it is said in the Namdrö: Thus, by stating the three ways, whatever is seen is the eye of wisdom. That is also abandoning other direct perceptions, it is not merely clinging, separate from sound and words. It is not an object, self-awareness is indivisible from truth. Understanding the depths of the mind is the object of direct perception. Thus it is said. Moreover, the view must precede the practice of the path, because it is said that even if one practices without realization, one will fall. As it is also said in the Lamrim: Without seeing the inconceivable meaning, entering the mandala of non-thought, that foolish, deluded mind will go to the great city of the blind. Thus it is said. Secondly, regarding the characteristic of the samadhi of entering into conditions, there is meditation with aspiration and meditation with complete certainty. First, regarding meditation with aspiration, there are three: meaning, method of training, and purpose. The first is, even if one has not gained familiarity with samadhi, one meditates only with aspiration or a general aspect, as it is said in the Lamrim: If one meditates on all paths in an instant, one meditates with aspiration on the wheel of elaboration. Thus it is said. The second is, within a single session, from the protection wheel onwards, until the end of the armor of protection, one takes it up completely with only aspiration. The third is, for one's own sake, through the power of becoming a means of perfecting the accumulation of merit, the path of definite completion arises in the continuum, and for the sake of others, the power of activity arises without deception, as a continuation of the previous: Perfecting the blessings of power, such as the empowerment, from the offering of complete benefit of nature. Thus it is said. Secondly, regarding definite completion, there is the meaning, the order of the method of training, and the meaning of distinguishing each. The first is, to train in the ultimate samadhi of each path. For example, in terms of suchness, as it is said in the Lamrim: If one sees and becomes familiar with suchness, there is no good or bad, one does not hold onto the characteristics of conceptual thought, as it is said and so on.

Ro! Secondly, like that samādhi, practice until the ultimate experience arises, achieving the ultimate. Combine the later path with compassion and illusion. Therefore, first, the yogi who has mastered emptiness, in order to take hold of the three realms with compassion, performs the eight branches as before, and cultivates the compassion of wisdom and illusion. Thus, combine them in order. Thirdly, the Lamrim says: "In the manner of gradual maturation, establish the five branches of entry." Therefore, for the contaminated path, there are five yogas: great emptiness, compassion and illusion, one seal, and the seal with elaboration, which are the four yogas of the path of accumulation, and the yoga of accumulation of the peak of the path of preparation. Although the ancients explained these in terms of seven dharmas, it has already been explained what basis to combine with and what conduct to practice. Since the source of faith arises incidentally, here each one is shown with four dharmas. Among them, first, for that samādhi, there is a special need, the essence of what is to be meditated upon, the names of samādhi, and its own fruit. First, it is to purify the conceptualization of clinging to appearances as self-existent, and to accomplish the conceptualization of the Dharmakaya as a similar cause. The Lamrim says: "Like darkness appearing as poison, the mastery of conceptualization is samādhi. All who seek meaning will accomplish it through this samādhi." Secondly, the essence is to make the mind abide in the emptiness of non-objectification. The core text says: "If you want to quickly achieve siddhi, then meditate in the realm of the utterly unobtainable." Thirdly, the names are: the suchness of equality that is the non-duality of appearance and emptiness, spontaneously accomplished. The Lamrim says: "Non-dual, spontaneously equal, suchness." Fourthly, the fruit is: realizing the ultimate truth, thereby being liberated from the conceptualizations of signs. An incidental debate is: Some say, are there good and bad paths above and below? Answer: The nature of the dharma to be meditated upon has no good or bad, but from the point of view of enhancing the mind of the practitioner, it is thought that the later path is better than the earlier path. Someone objects: That is not reasonable, because at the time of knowing the cause, one has already realized non-differentiation, so here one only meditates on the ultimate truth.
