A Vajra brother, and a Vajra brother of a different mother who is included by the power of that into one mandala, actually becomes an object to be especially cared for. As it is said in the 'Clear Illumination': "For the sake of the self-awareness of limitless sentient beings, whatever is not other than myself, and is a brother of the Sugata-garbha, the future Buddha-nature, is like a common brother and father. Those who have been involved with the Dharma for a long time, and whose views and actions are in harmony, are said to be close. The father is the same, the vows are intertwined." The way to care for them is: with the thought of never separating until enlightenment, to always cherish and yearn for them. As it is said in the 'Fearsome Lightning': "For Vajra brothers, there should also be a feeling of yearning, all Vajra brothers, whether intertwined or not. For those who have entered the right path, even a thought with malice should always be abandoned. Exert the power of cherishing and yearning, and look at each other like eyes." Fifth, regarding secrecy, in the 'Secret Proclamation', regarding the object, in the 'Subtle Expansion' it says: "Breaking vows, deviating from vows, having no vows, not seeing the mandala, and all those intertwined and not intertwined." For them, it should be kept secret. Among them, it says: "The common and intermediate secrets are four each, and the suitable and entrusted are ten types." Among them, the four common secrets, in the 'Clear Illumination' it says: "Profound view, outrageous conduct, deity name, dharani, and accomplishment signs." The so-called profound view is to be kept secret from those of lesser intelligence such as the Hinayana, and those whose conduct is not intertwined. The three, the deity, mantra, and accomplishment signs, if shown to those who are not intertwined, will break the vows; even if shown to those who are intertwined, the accomplishments will be lost, therefore they should be kept secret in all circumstances. The four intermediate secrets, among them it says: "The place, time, companion, and substances of practice, in the middle, practice secretly." Therefore, during the period of practice, it should be kept particularly secret. What is suitable to be kept secret is: offerings, secret conduct, and the bad conduct of Dharma friends, etc., things that should not be seen or heard. What is entrusted is: the lama and Dharma friends instruct, "Keep this and this secret," etc. These are not kept secret because there is a defect in the Dharma itself, among them it says: "The secret mantra itself has no defect, but is kept extremely secret for the benefit of sentient beings. If one can keep it secret, the accomplishment will not disappear, for the sake of secrecy, use symbols."

Thus, these five are the basis of the path and the fruit, so they are called the root vows. If these are condensed into three roots, they are: Protecting the lama and the spiritual friends, these two are the body vows; mantra mudras are the speech vows; bodhicitta and the ten secrets are the mind vows. Again, if condensed into two, they are: Honoring the lama, loving the spiritual friends, and not speaking secrets, these three are the vows of protection; practicing bodhicitta and mantra mudras, these two are the vows of practice. Some, the counting method of body, speech, and mind is the same as before, but they count not abandoning the unsurpassed separately, considering them as four roots. However, I think it is better to include not abandoning the unsurpassed in the mind. Because in the Tantra of the Joyful Gathering of Peace, it says: \"Meditating on the three aspects of bodhicitta is the vajra mind vow.\" Therefore. Second, in the branch vows, there are five that are not abandoned and five that are not discarded. The first is: \"Ignorance, attachment, anger, pride, and jealousy are not abandoned.\" In this context, the Clear Light says: \"When the vows of not abandoning are to be explained, the five genuine poisons and the five false poisons.\" Therefore, in general, there are two: the five genuine poisons and the five false poisons. The first is: When all phenomena of samsara and nirvana are realized as equality, there is no partiality in view and no distinction between what should be accepted and what should be rejected in conduct, this is ignorance. Thus, compassionately clinging to beings who have not realized this is attachment. Anger that destroys wrong views with self-arisen wisdom. Pride that does not lower the view of realizing equality. Jealousy that cannot accommodate the views and practices of dualistic beings in the realm of equality, these are not abandoned for the sake of oneself, others, and the Dharma. The second is: Are the five afflictions that are said not to be abandoned secret or proclaimed? They are kept secret from those who are not vessels and proclaimed to those who are vessels. Is it definitive or provisional? Since there is no need to show that not abandoning afflictions is provisional, here, for those who are seized by great wisdom" }, { "original_tibetan": "མཉམ་པའི་ལྟ་བས་ཟིན་པ་ལ་ངེས་དོན་དུ་བསྟན་ནོ། །ཅིའི་ཕྱིར་མི་སྤོང་ཞེ་ན། ལོག་པའི་དུག་ལྔ་ཆོས་ཅན། སྤང་བྱ་མ་ཡིན་ཏེ། སྤང་བྱའི་རྫས་མ་གྲུབ་པའི་ཕྱིར་དང་། ཐབས་ལ་མཁས་པའི་ལམ་ཡིན་པའི་ཕྱིར་དང་། རང་བཞིན་ཆེན་པོ་ཡིན་པའི་ཕྱིར་རོ། །དང་པོ་ནི། ཆོས་ཐམས་ཅད་རང་རང་གི་ངོ་བོས་", "chinese_translation": "以平等之见解所摄持者,则显示为了义。 为什么不舍弃呢? 邪见五毒,具有法性,不是应舍弃的,因为应舍弃之实物并不成立,并且是善巧方便之道,并且是自性广大之故。 第一是: 一切法以各自之自性", "english_translation": "those who are seized by the view of equality, it is shown as definitive.
