Do not harm the one with a thousand eyes. Do not defile the mother of the master, do not put poison in the food. Do not destroy precious ritual implements, do not cut off the gatherings of those with faith, and do not steal their possessions. Do not be like molten brass, do not disrespect the ignorant and sacred objects, and do not drink. Do not defile the woman like the stamen of a lotus. Do not give secret mantras to leaky bad containers, and do not pour essence into bad containers. Do not rely on evil substances that are inconsistent with meaning. Do not bury crystal balls in the mud, and do not slander the merits of the wise. Do not use pure dharanis in impure vessels, and do not defile evil women. Do not abandon wish-fulfilling dharanis and disciples, and do not burn jewels. Do not let the wings of the great Garuda lose skillful means and wisdom. Do not kill each other with scimitars made of meteoric iron. Do not enjoy the leftovers of predators, and do not use things that others have used. Do not destroy the great Vajra rock, and do not destroy the master's seat in other mandalas. Do not encroach on the boundaries of other people's walls and fences. Do not let the wind blow out the lamp, and do not let the light of meditation fall into darkness. Do not interrupt the recitation of the stream of wisdom, and avoid interruption. Do not forget the marks, mudras, and symbols of the command, and do not delay. Do not go against the Vajra sword, and do not stop capable people from performing magic. Do not slander the jewel on the top of the master's head, and do not demean. These are to be protected, and are particularly cherished vows. Thus it is said. The second part is the basis of classification and the classifications derived from it. The first part has five root vows and ten branch vows. The first is: Do not abandon the unsurpassed (bodhicitta), respect the guru. And so on. Its meaning is explained in the "Clear Lamp": Two bodhicittas, six gurus, four companions, three mantras, four mudras, and ten secrets should be known as the root. Therefore, the first of the five root vows is not to abandon the unsurpassed (bodhicitta), the object of which is the superior ultimate bodhicitta and the relative bodhicitta. Not abandoning them means realizing the inseparability of appearance and emptiness, and not deviating from the body, speech, and mind of the deity. As the "Clear Lamp" says: One's own body is the great mudra of the Victorious Ones, and the realm of sentient beings should also be known. The Vajra body is inseparable from appearance and emptiness. All that is done, seen, and heard is, for the sake of sentient beings, without any doing. Remembrance and awareness.

If one does not first dispel (wrong paths), and if one does not constantly remember the three times, how can one comprehend the Great Vehicle Mantra? Thus it is said. Second, regarding honoring the Guru: The distinctions of the objects are: those who are revered as sacred by all, and from whom one has received a slight kindness, are common; like the Khenpo of an ordained monk, who leads one into the gate of Dharma; those who bestow vows and empowerments are of the vow empowerment; those who become objects of confession are those who make up for broken vows; like the Dharma teachers who explain the scriptures, are those who liberate knowledge; and the Guru who reveals profound instructions, there are six in total. In the Clear Illumination it says: Common and guiding, vow empowerment, making up for broken vows and liberating knowledge, the Dharma teachers of oral transmission. Thus it is said. In particular, those who explain the tantras, bestow empowerments, and receive instructions are objects of even greater respect. In the Peaceful Tantra of the Gathering of Bliss it says: Explaining the tantras, bestowing empowerments, is itself the teaching. Thus it is said. The manner of honoring is, in the Clear Illumination it says: The king who has power over the land, the uncle, father, mother, and eyes, are regarded with more affection than the heart. Thus it is said, apply these examples of how to honor to the six kinds of teachers in order. In particular, for these three special objects, adopt any one of the views of being superior to the Buddha, equal to the Buddha, or regarding them as the fourth Jewel, and please them with body, speech, and mind, without any hypocrisy. Third, regarding not interrupting the continuity of mantra and mudra: The objects are the three mantras and the four mudras. In the Clear Illumination it says: The root generation and action mantra, the vow action and Dharma, the body itself is the great mudra, the four. Thus it is said. Regarding the manner of practicing them without interruption, it is explained by dividing it into three levels of diligence, high, medium, and low. Among them it says: The highest is like a flowing river, or three times during the day and three times during the night, two times or one time, recite naturally without distraction. The medium does not interrupt for six times in a month, or between four times. The lowest action yogi, if he does not diligently strive every month or every half month, then he destroys the seed of enlightenment. The Tsok and Torma are also the same, at least do not let a year or a month pass. Thus it is said. Fourth, regarding being loving to Dharma brothers and sisters: The objects are: the common Dharma brothers and sisters are all sentient beings, the distant Dharma brothers and sisters are all those who have entered the Buddha's teachings, the close Dharma brothers and sisters are those who have entered the mantra vehicle, and even more special are the intimate Dharma brothers and sisters who are gathered by the same Guru, like a fathe
