And it transforms. When it is seized by the great method and wisdom, and used for the benefit of others, it becomes the cause of liberation into the unsurpassed Bodhi. When it itself is also seized and used by the great power of method and wisdom, the great perfect Bodhi will be accomplished effortlessly and spontaneously. For example, just as smelting copper ore and treating the copper can turn it into gold, the activities of the three doors, on the same basis, are transformed upwards by the size of the method. Therefore, the abandonment of harming others, which is the basis of individual liberation vows, and the two aspects of benefiting others, which is the bodhisattva vow, are transformed into the substance of mantra vows in the manner of increasing substance. Each aspect of ordinary appearance clinging that is not seized by the method of great equality is fundamentally abandoned and transformed into a special method of great equality, just as light dispels darkness. In this way, the lower disciplines are all included in the vows of great equality and are completely pure. Here, some people think that it is not reasonable for the two lower vows to be included and completed in the upper vows, because the abandonment of harming others, which is the basis of individual liberation vows, and the two aspects of benefiting others, which is the bodhisattva vow, seem to directly contradict the mantra vow of not abandoning. In order to show the way of inclusion without contradiction, the individual liberation vow is that if four defeats occur, the root vow is broken. But here, if you have the confidence of realizing the true nature, no matter how you act, you will not be defiled, so the essence is to increase upwards and re-gather, so the merit is to increase upwards, which is a general statement. Specifically, killing is, not observing the Madhyamaka of existence and non-existence, and so on. Both self and others appear as mind-nature, and in the ultimate truth, they are separated from the three sides of the Madhyamaka of existence and non-existence, and although they appear in the conventional truth, they realize that their own nature is empty. Although it looks like killing, because there is no killer or killed, and there is no thought of killing, it will not be defiled by sin. And because it cuts off the continuity of evil deeds such as the ten grounds, it completes the two accumulations through killing, so the essence and merit of the vow to abandon killing are included in the upward increase. Similarly, in the chapter of the close relatives asking in the Ratnakuta Sutra, how like a illusion

Those with magical powers, in the world, emanate hundreds and thousands of sentient beings. Even if all those emanations were killed, it is as if those illusions were not killed. These beings are of the nature of illusion, and there is never any limit to them. Those who thus make the limitless limited, they have no sensation in the world. Those who know this dharma of no self-nature, those heroes pass beyond sorrow in the world. Thus it is said. Taking what is not given is because the two truths are inseparable, and so on. All dharmas are the nature of mind itself, inseparable from the two truths, so there is no object of focus in ultimate truth, and it is not established in conventional truth either, so one realizes that self and other are not different. Because both the object and the owner are not elsewhere. Like the gods of delight in emanation, no matter what one takes of the enjoyments that one has emanated oneself, one knows that it does not go beyond oneself, so there is nothing to take in reality. Therefore, one is not stained by faults, and taking from the miserly and giving to the poor, etc., because it turns into benefiting others, the vow of abandoning taking what is not given is complete and completely pure. The Jewel Heap Sutra says: Just as a magician takes illusory wealth and uses what is needed as in a dream, but there is no karma or ripening for that. Likewise, having trained here in uncontrived wisdom, one goes to the four noble truths of supreme peace. Thus it is said. The Vajra Sutra says: Taking wealth from the miserly and giving it to poor sentient beings. Therefore, plunder the wealth of lords and the rich. Thus it is said. Lying is like all dharmas are like illusions, and so on. Although all dharmas do not exist, the appearance of clinging to the mind that is measured by distorted thoughts is the lie of self-nature. The very appearance of this, measured from names and words, and clinging to it as true, is the lie that follows. The Intermediate Mother Sutra says: Subhuti, all dharmas are by nature without things, and whatever is spoken and measured by appearance is adventitious, therefore it is false. Thus it is said. Among those, speaking contrary is the false lie. Therefore, if truth is not established, then the lie that depends on it is not established. Because clinging to all dharmas as true is exhausted, knowing it to be false, even if one lies, one is not stained by faults, and one does benefit in that way.
