Causes, conditions, and connections. The first is divided into two. The co-existing cause is that the mind itself abides in the essence of the Sugata from the beginning, as stated in the Lamrim: "The essence is the same in nature." The accompanying cause is that one becomes weary of hearing the faults of the lower vehicles and rejoices upon hearing the virtues of the higher vehicles, thereby giving rise to the seven efforts to enter this path. As stated in the previous passage: "Hearing two teachings from the virtuous friend, seeing the high qualities and faults, and with weariness and joy from that, it is said to be the second cause." The second is: From that, "That, self, secret, etc., are the objects, the moment increases, that immediately." Among the four conditions, the disciple with the wisdom to understand the nature of reality, who can understand individually, is the causal condition. The lama who possesses the teachings and instructions is the dominant condition. The lineage of letters that represent, along with the instructions, is the objective condition. The wisdom attained through hearing and thinking, the previous moment opens the understanding, and the later moment enhances the realization, is the immediately preceding condition. The third connection is also divided into four. That path with the accompanying cause, the self-aware meaning of the lama of the co-existing cause, is connected by nature like creation and impermanence. The lama of the dominant condition, like a golden vessel and lion's milk, is connected as container and contents. The objective condition, the dharma to be taught is Mahayoga, is connected as knowable and knowing like fire and smoke. The teacher of that, the Sixth Victor (the Sixth Dalai Lama Tsangyang Gyatso), is connected to karma and compassion like the sun and the four continents. As stated in that itself: "Connected in essence with the virtuous friends, that which possesses the ability to act in the container and contents, connected with the great teachings, and connected with the protector in the ability to act with compassion." Thus, if the arising of mind requires six causes and conditions, then the generation of mind from the four lineages of the path will decline. If the solitary realizer does not have a lama, will it become impossible to generate mind? Although it is true, however, like a rhinoceros or a parrot, there is no fault because it acts to indicate a friend of the same kind. As stated in this itself: "The solitary realizer is like the way of the rhinoceros." And in the Manifestation of Illusion Net it says: "For the solitary realizers, showing the form of a friend, after showing, they enter the object of the Great Vehicle." And in the Emanation Play

According to the Sutra Requested by Lapa, those who are to be tamed by the form of a Pratyekabuddha should remain in the form of a Pratyekabuddha and accurately teach them the Dharma symbol that possesses dependent origination. This is clearly stated. Third, regarding the manner of arising, Nyang टीका and Glen टीका, etc., consider there to be eight types. That is, considering the difference in aspiration, they are divided into two types: skillful means and liberation; considering the size of intelligence, they are divided into two types: gradual and sudden; considering whether or not to abandon the stages, they are divided into two types: direct transcendence and gradual progression; considering whether or not attachment is pure, they are divided into two types: with outflows and without outflows; considering the size of the signs, they are divided into two types: deity and non-conceptual meditation; considering the strength and weakness of those to be tamed, they are divided into two types: peaceful and wrathful; considering self-power and other-power, they are divided into two types: wisdom and instructions; considering whether or not samadhi is clear, they are divided into two types: aspiration meditation and definitive completion meditation. Although they think in this way, Here, the root of the path is the two types of skillful means and liberation. Both of these manners of arising depend on the faculties and enter gradually and suddenly, therefore they arise. Therefore, they are explained as two types: gradual and sudden. The views of the great secret lord Söphukpa and Je Dringpa, etc., seem good, so they are explained in this way. There are two types: classification and proof. The first is: the sharpness of innate faculties and the sharpness of cultivated faculties, each of which enters in two ways, gradually and suddenly, through the size of intelligence. As stated in the Lamrim: "They also have the power of innate cultivation, Because they become vessels, there is near and far, Gradual and sudden fourfold division, Divided, they enter the great yoga." Thus, there are four types. The sharpness of cultivated faculties entering gradually refers to: having cultivated the common vehicle for a long time since previous lives, and also having cultivated the vehicle of the path stage in the first half of this life, and then entering the Mahāyāna. The sharpness of cultivated faculties entering suddenly refers to: being similar to the former in cultivation, and entering the Mahāyāna from the beginning in this life. The sharpness of innate faculties entering gradually refers to: not having cultivated since previous lives, and only temporarily cultivating the path stage in the first half of this life, and finally entering the Mahāyāna after cultivating the lower vehicle. The sharpness of innate faculties entering suddenly refers to: not having cultivated in previous lives, and entering the Mahāyāna itself from the beginning in this life.
