If it is established, then the cause and giving of the sun being without defects and the sky being without obscurations would be meaningless, because the causeless does not depend on conditions. Thus it is said. If it is established, because the nature of fire has not been abandoned, then for cold glass, the manifest function of burning is not obstructed, thus it is blamed. Third, for the inseparability of the two truths, there are four: essence, meaning of words, difference, and establishment. First, the nature of mind that does not touch any extreme, which is inherently the cause of the seven treasures of self-nature, the ultimate truth spontaneously accomplished, and its own power, the self-appearance of the mandala of the vessel and essence body and wisdom, are the two relative truths. Although the expressing words come before and after, the essence of the expressed meaning abides in equality, therefore the inseparability of the two truths is beyond the realm of the mind. To establish this, there are three, of which, the scriptural authority is, from this itself: Because the two truths are inseparable, the manner of the joy of illusion is not different. And, in the extensive explanation it says: Ultimate and relative are inseparable, the unconditioned appears as conditioned, the appearance of the conditioned is vajra itself. The pith instruction is, in the stages of the path it says: Without acting like a king, without making modifications, the nature is naturally inseparable. The reasoning is, in the Tara commentary it says: Refuting based on examples of what is not, and establishing based on examples of what is, there are two. The first is: Like black and white threads intertwined, because there is no alternation of appearance and emptiness, like a vase and a blanket, because there is no difference, like a real object, a cow's horn, and an unreal object, a rabbit's horn, because there is no difference between appearance and emptiness, inseparability is established. The second is: Inseparability is established by the four examples of gold and the yellowness of gold, jade and the blueness of jade, the ocean and the waves of the ocean, and the sky and the rainbow. Gyalwa Yung and most of the higher lamas consider that there are four reasons for establishing inseparability: because the two truths have no inherent good or bad, because the essence is indivisible, because the abiding is not different, and because there is no before or after in time, inseparability is established. Here, if it is established on one phenomenon of common appearance, the vase phenomenon, is the inseparability of the two truths, because it does not fall to either side of appearance or emptiness.

If the reason is not established, then does the vase cease in terms of appearance, or does it cease in terms of emptiness? According to the first case, is this appearance truly empty or not empty? If it is empty, then the cessation in terms of appearance fails. If it is not empty, then the appearance becomes permanent and substantial. If you accept that, then as stated in the Sutra Pitaka: "All conditioned things are impermanent." Thus, conditioned things are revealed by destruction. When the vase is destroyed by other things, it abandons its state and therefore becomes impermanent. As it is also stated in the Kun Dus Sutra: "For example, from the substance of a stone, after it is ground into powder, when it is moved in the face of the wind, it has no inherent nature at all." Also, if it ceases in terms of emptiness, then the possibility of the vase appearing is not established. If you accept that, then the appearance of the vase is obvious. If neither appearance nor emptiness ceases in any way, then if the truth is non-dual, what is it like? Wherever neither appearance nor emptiness ceases, then non-duality is pervasive, like illusory horses and cows. Therefore, do not abandon appearance, and be liberated from the extreme of appearance. Do not abandon emptiness, and do not cling to the extreme of emptiness. Do not abandon both, and be liberated from the extreme of clinging to both. In short, even the statement of non-duality is only stated to refute the clinging to the difference between appearance and emptiness. In reality, it is also separated from clinging to non-duality, so it is called being beyond the object of thought. As it is said here: "Neither empty nor not empty, the Middle Way has no object of focus." And as stated in the Lamrim: "That is to liberate from clinging to names, in the two truths, it transcends thought and expression." Second, from the word "Vibheda," "Bheda" means difference, and "Vi" is a negation. Because it does not cease in any aspect of appearance and emptiness, it means that it is impossible to make a difference. It is not like combining with each other, but the two dharmas are non-dual in nature, not abandoning each other. Third, the non-duality of one without two, the non-duality that prevents the two extremes, and the three types of essential non-duality. The first is the ultimate truth of the Mind-Only school, the self-aware and self-illuminating wisdom that is non-dual in terms of the grasper and the grasped. The second is the ultimate truth of the Madhyamaka school that is not a conceptual construct. The third is the doctrine of the Union of Appearance and Emptiness of the Secret Mantra school. Fourth, essence and characteristics, nature, and three ways of practice. The first is the Vehicle of Cause.
