From the aspect of appearing as the body of a deity; the illusory wisdom is appearing even though it is non-existent, like a rainbow, from the aspect of the clarity of awareness without inner or outer distinction; the illusory means is not fixed as one, like an emanation, established from the aspect of the uninterrupted arising of appearances that appear here and there. Thus, the six illusory things appear in awareness without difference, which is the ultimate conventional truth. Fourth, divided into four parts: essence, characteristics, and three ways of surpassing by nature. First, the conventional truth of the causal vehicle is produced by causes and conditions, but here it is surpassed by not being produced by causes and conditions, as stated in the Extensive [text]: "Because there is no dependence on causes and conditions." Second, the conventional truth of the cause has arising and ceasing, but here it is surpassed by being free from arising and ceasing, as stated in this very [text]: "The illusion is the supreme vajra, strong and excellent." Third, the conventional truth of the cause has good and bad, but here it is surpassed by having thoughts and actions that are non-dual with respect to all phenomena even in the conventional truth, as stated in the Extensive [text]: "The great vehicle of means, purity and suffering, are also inseparable in the conventional truth, only the view is higher or lower." And it says: "In the conventional truth, it is equally complete." Thus, if the conventional truth and the ultimate truth are inseparable, will they become without difference? Although it appears, it is empty of truth, only the essence is the same, but the opposite of the way of establishing is different, so there is no mistake. Just as seeing ice directly and knowing that water is hidden from power, establishing appearance as the truth of the conventional, so from the power of knowing that there is no self-nature, it is said. By the way, to refute the occasional argument: Some say, does the general characteristic of the conventional truth pervade the superior conventional truth or not? If it pervades, then the superior conventional truth will also become a delusion and inverted consciousness; if it does not pervade, then the general characteristic is refuted, and the self-characteristic will also be refuted, just as only refuting the tree, then refuting Shapa and so on. Answer: Because it is impossible to have a difference that depends on the general path, we acknowledge that it pervades. Even so, the superior conventional truth will not become a delusion and inverted consciousness, because the pervading conventional general characteristic is empty of the elaboration of truth. For example, although the way of seeing is different, appearing as water to humans and as pus to pretas, the wetness pervades both. Also, this superior conventional truth

If someone asks: Is considering appearances as a divine mandala a fabrication that never existed, or is it naturally and completely accomplished? Here, we lean towards the latter. If it were a fabrication, then a fabrication is false and unreal, thus completely lacking in function. In that case, practicing the yoga of the path's deities would become meaningless, which is unreasonable. Even so, if these appearances, which are the basis of designation, are already pure and accomplished as a divine mandala from the beginning, like gold in the Salsbrum, because they do not depend on other causes and conditions, wouldn't it be excessive if they didn't even depend on the wisdom that generates the deity? There is no fault in that. Just as when a precious jewel is found but not recognized, and it is placed among ordinary jewels, its qualities are not seen. But if it is recognized as a jewel and cleaned, then the special qualities of the jewel that were originally there will appear. Similarly, although it is pure as a deity from the beginning, because of the clinging to the reality of appearances, its purity is not recognized. Therefore, the generation stage of the path is merely a method to counteract clinging to reality. Relying on this, the vow of complete accomplishment will not be violated. Therefore, here, complete accomplishment is achieved through the three means of scripture, reasoning, and oral instructions. In terms of scripture: As it says in this very text, "All phenomena without exception are not other than the Buddha." and so on. In the "Marvelous King," it says, "From the beginning, in the spontaneously perfect mandala, meditate by knowing that it is." In terms of oral instructions: In the "Stages of the Path," it says, "Limbs, faculties, and all consciousnesses are completely pure in their nature, and the five Tathagatas of meditation abide completely without fabrication from the beginning." And in the "Garland of Peaceful and Wrathful Deities of the Heart Essence of the Sky," it says, "The Vajra aggregates and limbs are originally the mandala of deities. Through the causes of meditation and mantra, in order to manifest their nature, generate the Great Seal completely." The Omniscient Dharma Lord said, "For the nature that is originally a mandala, by illuminating it with the understanding that it is, one accomplishes even what is not accomplished." In terms of reasoning: The aggregates and so on are naturally accomplished as the mandala of deities, because they can manifest the ultimate form body of their nature, just as silver naturally exists in silver ore. Therefore, nature will not become conditioned either, the path
