It is said that self-awareness is one in the mind of enlightenment, because its opposite of manifestation appears as the difference between the three: ground, path, and fruition. Second is the compilation: all knowable phenomena are compiled into the three: ground, path, and fruition. The four categories previously divided are merely different names, and their essence is not established as different. For example, just as one person is given many names. Third is to ascertain the meaning of the compilation, in which the general ascertainment of the three: ground, path, and fruition is a brief explanation, and the separate ascertainment of them is an extensive explanation. The first part includes: classification, essence, meaning of words, and characteristics. The first point also includes: the basis of classification, the object of classification, the necessity of classification, and contemplating the valid means of determination. The first is: that which is indispensable as the basis of classification, because without a basis of classification, the categories cannot be different. Most scholars agree that merely the knowable is suitable as the basis of classification. As it is said in the commentary on the Ornament of Clear Realization: "The knowable phenomena of ground, path, and fruition, because the meaning of the words is the same, are knowable, therefore compiled into the meaning of the three continuums." If it is said to be unreasonable, because it contradicts the three: scripture, reasoning, and pith instructions. It contradicts the scripture, as it is said in the Compendium of Intentions: "Like an example, or a measure, or a reason, or the wisdom of inference, it is not possible to understand, like a blind man measuring the height of the sky." It contradicts the pith instructions, as it is said in the Stages of the Path: "In order to dispel attachment to what is not that, in the second conventional truth, it is beyond thought and expression." There is also harm from reasoning, if merely the knowable is taken as the basis of classification, then the ground of the nature of reality also becomes knowable, because it is the pervasive object of the basis of classification. This cannot be accepted, because it transcends the scope of the knowable. As it is said in the Diamond Cutter Sutra: "The realm of phenomena is not knowable, therefore it cannot be completely known." And as it is said in the Kashyapa Question Sutra: "Ultimate truth is not the object of consciousness." If someone says this. In response, some say that although reality is not knowable, determination and negation are within the scope of the knowable, so there is no fault. However, the object of determination itself is that reality, so this statement is unreasonable. The scholar Rogdag believes that there is no fault in the ground of the nature of reality becoming knowable, because the meaning of that scripture in the Compendium of Intentions is that it cannot be understood by the reasoning of conceptual thought.

In short, although it is not understood by the three universal reasons, the secret instructions are only spoken of when there is no difference from reality, not in the way of establishing it. However, if it is said that for the knowable things, can it be determined whether there are two kinds of things, things and non-things? Just like that, are all the paths of the secret magician's sect included in the two, view and samadhi? If it is included, then it can also be determined here. If it is said that reality falls into the extreme of things and non-things, then the path must also be able to be represented by either view or samadhi. If it is said that it is not included, then it cannot be determined here either. Then, the measure of determining knowable things will inevitably be interrupted. If it is said that there will be a third category of knowable things, then it contradicts the statement that all paths are included in the two, view and samadhi, because there will also be a third main part of the path. Therefore, although all paths are included in the two, view and samadhi, just as the path is only universally present, although all knowable things can be determined as two kinds, things and non-things, the basis of reality is universally present, which is considered to be established, which is an intellectual statement. Even so, I also think that although the essence of reality transcends the knowable and the knower, it is not contradictory to be regarded as a measurable thing in name only, just as the sky transcends the realm of mind, but people can measure it. In the Sutra of Meeting Father and Son, it is said: The knowable things are also limited to the two, conventional truth and ultimate truth. In Galpo, it is said: Among the knowable things, the most supreme is the definite word. Although there are many times when it is said that ultimate truth is a knowable thing, the key to not contradicting the previous scriptures lies in this. In short, dividing the base, path, and fruit into three is also like the separate appearance of the cause and effect of dreams. For the time being, under the control of illusion and imputation, it is only established as separate appearances, but it is not distinguished by the nature of the Dharma, because the nature is one in the self-aware Bodhicitta. However, in the consciousness of name, only the basis of distinction is regarded as a knowable thing, so there is no fault in reality falling into the knowable thing, because here the basis of distinction itself is reality, so it is the root of the meaning of the scriptures that needs to be understood, as it is said in the Compendium of Meanings: Outer
