In the oral instructions explained by any teacher, there are two methods of explaining the tantras: the method of explaining the tantras spoken by the Buddha, and the method of explaining the oral instructions based on that. First, in general, for the tantras of Mahāyoga, Heruka Blood Drinker) is said to be important for opening the door of intelligence through the seven ornaments, the Anuyoga through the seven authorities, and the Atiyoga through the six common points. For some of the Anuttarayoga tantras, there are explanations of the three outer, inner, and other, and the four teachers. Among the sections on practice, there are twenty methods of explanation. In the general outline of the Compendium of Bliss Tantra, it says: "The twenty methods of explaining the oral instructions are determined by five summaries, five tantric agreements, five scriptural combinations, and five methods of combining practices." Thus, although the oral instructions on the methods of explanation are limitless, due to the fear of letters, the others are placed in equanimity, and here Mahāyoga, the general method of explanation is the seven ornaments, and in particular, the lineage of this Dharma, the five common points are explained. First, in the Important, it says: "The seven ornaments of Mahāyoga are also: the instigation of speech, the manner of becoming a Buddha, the extensive explanation of the end, the manner of explanation, the manner of differentiation, the vessel of beings, and the understanding of the truth, should be known." As it is said, among the seven ornaments, the first ornament has two: questions and answers. The first is, it says: "The number of instigations of speech is five: What is the name of this tantra? For whose benefit was this tantra made? Who is the author and teacher? What is the extent of this tantra? What is the need to know?" Second, there are also five in the answer. The first is: The name of this tantra is The Secret Essence Definitive of Suchness. The second is: It was made for the purpose of subduing beings with sharp faculties, primarily those with attachment, the beings of the five poisons. The third is: The author is the sixth Vajradhara Samantabhadra. The fourth is, it says: "Rituals, chapters, divisions, and sections." Among them, the rituals extensively show empowerments, supreme accomplishments, the activities of the four actions, etc. Consecrations, fire offerings, and common accomplishments are briefly explained. Torma offerings, assemblies, and the principles of reality are supplemented from other compatible tantras and explained as oral instructions. The chapters are twenty-two, and with the later ones, there are twenty-four. The divisions are the sixth division and the third division.

The second part is divided. The parts are two: the root part has twenty-two chapters, and the explanation part has the twenty-third and twenty-fourth chapters. The fifth is for the sake of attaining common siddhis such as longevity and swift walking, as well as supreme siddhis, the four Vidyadharas of the intermediate state, and the ultimate fruit, perfect Buddhahood. The second ornament is, in the 'Important': There are four ways of becoming a Buddha, namely lineage, the basis of discussion, definition, and cause. The meaning of this is that there are four ways of detachment and four ways of the path of desire. The first is that being born as a human being is the basis for becoming the support of the Dharma of detachment, therefore it is called lineage. Going forth from home to homelessness is the certainty of the aspect of detachment, and is called the basis of lineage discussion. Having gone forth, guarding the discipline is the place to be relied upon, therefore it is called definition. Having spoken thus, because one desires the fruit of enlightenment, practicing the path is the cause of attaining liberation, therefore it is called cause. Here, what is to be done by speaking of the way to Buddhahood through detachment? The Bhagavan, the Powerful Sage, is:
