From GA HŪṂ (Tibetan: ག་ཧཱུཾ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: क हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: ka hūṃ, literal Chinese meaning: ka hum), from the seed marked with Vajra HŪṂ (Tibetan: ཧཱུཾ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, literal Chinese meaning: Hum) arises, upon the five elements stacked in order, the mandala of both peaceful and wrathful deities, whether expanded or contracted, its palace together with its base. Sixth, Blessing: The teacher enters into the vast attire, circumambulates the edge of the mandala with the vajra gait, enters from the east gate, and sits in the center facing east. Generating the main deity, father and mother, of either peaceful or wrathful deities, from the clouds of union, completely generate the retinue. Invite the wisdom being and make offerings. Then, the four disciples who hold the pride of the four mothers, from their respective directions, say to the teacher, "The wisdom of peace is self-appearing," etc., and in unison, have those with merit and wisdom make supplications. The teacher holds the vajra bell and with a smile, "The ten directions, without exception, the three times," etc., invokes the blessings of the Tathagatas residing in the sky, gathers them with four HŪṂ (Tibetan: ཧཱུཾ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, literal Chinese meaning: Hum), and with angry eyes blazing with the pride of hatred vajra, recites the mantra of Sūmbha (Tibetan: སུམྦྷ, Sanskrit Devanagari: सुम्भ, Sanskrit Romanization: sumbha, literal Chinese meaning: Subdue), and circumambulates with the vajra gait, thereby transforming the earth into the nature of vajra. Seventh, Protection: Cutting off the boundaries with the protective wheel and the five weapons. As it is said in the ritual sequence, "On the eight spokes pervading the sky, Sūmbha (Tibetan: སུམྦྷ, Sanskrit Devanagari: सुम्भ, Sanskrit Romanization: sumbha, literal Chinese meaning: Subdue) on the sun subdues the gods, definitely extract and place the ten wrathful ones from the heart." And also, "The order of the five weapons must definitely be done according to the scripture. If there is any obstacle, at any time not allowed, that is said to be the supreme of protection." Eighth, Seizing: According to the practice of the previous masters, at this time, the consecrations of the branches and disciples are performed. Then, in order to prevent the deity's place from being confused with that of humans, a dry line equal to the size of the mandala that one wishes to build is set up, and bodhicitta dots equal to the number of deities are made and flowers are placed. From the union point of the main deity of either peaceful or wrathful deities, generate the palace and deities with the emanating clouds of thought, and then perform the invitation, offering, and praise. If it is a peaceful deity, then say, "Lord, the nature of all, one and

"Since it is not completely separated." and so on. If it is a wrathful deity, then urge with "Om. In the immeasurable realms of the ten directions." and so on. The light of the playful deities, male and female, dissolves into the earth. Thinking that the earth itself is clear in the nature of a mandala is holding the earth. The ritual says, "With the splendor of the definitive playful speech, everything is made clear as the nature of the mandala, and is completely grasped." and so on. Why is it called equal ground? Because it is liberated from the conceptualization of earth and holding the earth, symbolizing that everything is equally joined with the self-aware Bodhicitta. From this it says, "Since all minds are equally joined, the ground is also accomplished in the same way. Thus, whatever is manifested, is called the greatly equal ground." and so on. Second, the measurement of the mandala is: "The mandala should be one cubit in measurement." and so on. There are three measurements for this: concise, medium, and extensive. That is, one cubit on each side, eight fingers high around the perimeter, and four cubits on each side, which is one body length, these two are the concise measurements of the mandala. The ritual says, "Eight and four are definitely, the two mandalas of spreading and contracting, marked with nine mudras." and so on. Also, three body lengths on each side, that is, twelve cubits, and sixteen cubits, these two are the medium measurements. From this it says, "Six and eight are combined, adorned with forty-two aspects." and so on. Twenty or twenty-five cubits on each side is the extensive measurement. From this it says, "At the measurement of twenty-five cubits, all five family mandalas are complete, including the wrathful deities with the courtyard." and so on. Therefore, the three, extensive, medium, and concise, each have two measurements, because it says, "The measurement is not determined by conditions." Therefore, it depends on the skill of the Acharya, the size of the house, the wealth of the student, and their respective wishes. From this it says, "It is distinguished by wishes and wealth." And in the Umbrella Tantra it says, "The two are also due to craftsmanship." and so on. The measurement of the form is: high in the center and even on all sides. However, it is said that if the east is high, it shortens life, and if the north is high, it wastes wealth, so these two sides should be slightly lower. Third, the line is: "Peg, thread, colored powder." and so on. For this there are also: materials, assistants, measurements, numbers, blessings,
