From then on, the Victorious Yungdrung considered that for the means of realization, the instructions could be combined with the vision of one's own state of being. The previous treatise on the individual who is the basis is, up to the seventh chapter, combined with the accumulation and application stages of the unobstructed path. Secondly, the characteristics of entering conditions, the samadhi, are sixfold: What is the purpose of meditating? What is the method of meditating? That itself is self-appearing in everything. From that, meditating on the wheel of the mandala. That itself is primordially pure, so it is shown by example to be free from acceptance and rejection. By becoming familiar with that, it is connected to the result. First, the objects, etc., are two lines: In this way, the phenomena that appear as various objects, at the very time of appearance, realizing that there is not even a particle of object that is established as a thing, the means of freely transforming for this purpose is samadhi. Second, with what elephant, etc., are two lines: The meditator, with the untamed elephant-like mind that is intoxicated with various confused thoughts and cannot be tamed, just as a skilled elephant trainer tames an elephant with hooks and other means, relying on either of the two means of instruction or the power of wisdom, abiding in the state of realization, the nature of reality, in a state of objectless self-illumination, when tamed, all the confused thoughts that grasp at objects and characteristics are pacified, and abiding in the ground as it is, that is taming. In this way, these two, the purpose and the means of meditation, are the yoga of the great emptiness of the samadhi of suchness, combined with the third chapter of the Stages of the Path. Third, without root, etc., is one verse: The nature of mind, which is not established in any ground or root, is unobstructed in any way, so it is certain that it is the root of all phenomena of samsara and nirvana. Because one has not realized the wisdom of one's own state, one meditates on great compassion without an object for sentient beings wandering in the illusory samsara, this is the yoga of the compassionate illusion of the samadhi of all appearances, combined with the fourth chapter of the Stages of the Path. In this way, the nature of mind, which is non-dual in arising and ceasing, from everything being self-appearing, here one meditates on the nature of the letter A (Tibetan: ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, literal meaning: without), from that letter, focusing the mind on the expansion and contraction of A-tsa-ma and Ka (Tibetan: ཀ, Devanagari: क, Romanized Sanskrit: ka, literal meaning: ka), just like a wish-fulfilling

Just as a cloud formed from the essence of jewels is needed to bring down a rain of wish-fulfilling jewels, so too, in order to make all the mandalas rejoice, one must train the mind in letters. This is called training in the causal samadhi, that is, training in subtle letters. Fourth, the five steps of means, etc.: From the fundamental means, self-awareness appears as letters. Appearing as the mandala of support, the basic means arises. Relying on this, arranging the deity's mandala and meditating is called immeasurable means. These are training in the coarse deity body. This, together with the previous training in subtle letters, and the training to become familiar with that which will be explained, are the yoga of the same mudra, so combine it with the fifth chapter of the Lamrim. Thus, all the mandalas endowed with the three means appear as the magical display of self-aware wisdom. Although they are not made of good and bad differences, from the main aspect, there are different wheels, etc., the inner dependent deity mandala, and the inner outer dependent mandala, that is, the samadhi mandala that distinguishes appearances, the peaceful has ten thousand clusters, twenty-four thousand, the wrathful has four thousand four hundred and fifty, seventy-six thousand eight hundred and fifty. Both have inconceivable spontaneously accomplished mandalas, etc., the mudra is unfolded, and it is visualized as a sky-covering inconceivable mandala. All of these are also the playful display of self-aware wisdom, Therefore, there is no danger of falling into the abyss of samsara and the path of accumulation. Because there is nothing that is not sealed by the supreme all-pure Samantabhadra mudra of the field of activity. Fifth, that very wisdom, etc., one verse: The three means just explained, that very self-appearance from self-aware wisdom, therefore, from the deity's seed syllables and generation mantras, which are contained in letters and words, visualizing as a body with the parts of the form completely perfect, etc., as one wishes in the mind, the example of the qualities of having freedom in samadhi is: Just as lighting a lamp in the darkness brings light, without abandoning any conceptual thoughts, it is liberated into the appearance of the dependent deity. Just as iron instantly turns into gold, like the alchemy of gold transformation, without abandoning the five elements, but the nature of the five mothers, the dependent palace.
