The fourth chapter describes the compassion that demonstrates the wheel of symbolic letters, and the self-manifestation and teachings from the minds of those to be tamed. The fifth chapter has three parts: telling what has been said as history, the actual text, and the title. The first part is: starting from "Then, letters, etc.," it specifically tells about the mandala of the illusory deities of the union of skillful means and wisdom from the power of the cloud arrangement of the wheel of letters that was just explained after showing the mandala of the speech letters, and the order of accomplishing actions and attainments. The second part, the actual text, has three parts: who accomplishes it, the individual who is the basis; how it is accomplished through the method of realization and habituation; and the qualities of the spoken text. The first part is: starting from "Teacher, diligent in offering, etc.," one verse. It points out that the guide to the path of liberation, the lama vajra acharya, is diligent in making offerings, and the lineage is matured by obtaining the three empowerments of profound benefit and power. The view is superior, realizing the reality of the inseparability of truth, and the samadhi of meditating on the meaning of realization is clear. The root and branch vows are not violated, so they are completely pure. He knows well the three mantras of cause, condition, and action, and the four great mudras of the vow action. As it says in the Lamrim: "Vow, view, samadhi, bodhicitta, and compassion, complete the five superior resources." Like the five resources of the path time, or food and drink, ornaments and clothing, song lyrics and sound, dance and play, Ali Kali, that is, if one practices with the five resources of material for practice, it will be accomplished. If one does not have these dharmas, even if one practices, it is meaningless, and not only that, the practitioner himself will be destroyed, so it is taught together with the advantages and disadvantages. The second part has three parts: the view that is the characteristic of knowing the cause; the samadhi that is the characteristic of entering the condition; and the characteristic of the fruit that has become manifest. The first part has two parts: instructions on the method of realization, and an explanation of the nature of the view to be realized. The first part is: starting from "By what, without object, etc.," one verse. Whichever individual does not understand the meaning of the mind itself being without object in anything, he does not understand the profound reality of the completely pure, non-extreme realm of dharma. For that reason, external and internal philosophical tenets cling to real things, and

Understanding that clinging to the absence of inherent existence, everything is unestablished and does not cease anywhere, the nature of mind, realizing the manner of cessation in the state of being free from extremes, thereby knowing that all phenomena are without inherent existence, is an inconceivable meaning. Please understand it in this way! Secondly, there are seven lines starting with 'without a basis.' The primordial nature of mind, which lacks a basis for reliance and a root for arising, cannot be pointed out as 'what is this?' It is neither male, female, nor neuter, nor is it formless beyond these, nor any of the six realms of beings, the four castes such as the royal caste, or the lineage of each caste. It is also not colors like white and red, nor shapes like square and round, nor is it established as objects or non-objects, such as the place of reliance and the substance of reliance. In short, because it does not become anything, no extreme is established. This is the nature of reality, the pure expanse of suchness, self-arisen wisdom. This is the basis or cause of all appearances of samsara and nirvana arising from the actions of realization and non-realization, which does not deviate from the path of the method mudra that manifests this basis. Why? Because there is no phenomenon that has transformed from anything other than the nature of mind. Moreover, because this fifth chapter is summarized into three characteristics to explain the lineage's precepts, these two parts of the treatise, which explain the method of realization and the essence of what is to be realized, are the characteristics of understanding the cause. Furthermore, if combined with the oral instruction's stages of the path, it says: 'Self-nature wisdom self-abiding, seeing it, entering it, four yogas, uninterrupted practice fully ripens, empowerment mudra spontaneous path, the order of manifestation should be explained.' Likewise, the three characteristics are divided into nine chapters. First, the chapter on the basis of self-abiding wisdom to be realized. Second, the chapter on seeing the self-abiding, the view. From the third to the sixth chapters, the four chapters are: great emptiness, compassionate illusion, one mudra spreading, the four yogas of the path of accumulation. Seventh, the path of joining accumulation. Eighth, the four vidyadharas, the fruits of the path. Ninth, the ultimate fruits of manifesting the basis as it is. From these contents, the essence of the view to be realized is combined with the chapter on the basis of the stages of the path, self-abiding wisdom.
