Just as before, the practice of cultivating the assembly of the earth, with its clear color and radiant light spreading in all directions, is done by gathering and collecting. Third, this is two lines, and so on. Therefore, by diligently practicing this method of training the mind on letters, one will generate stable samadhi, which is the cause of all the siddhis of the three vajras. It acts as the cause for generating the fruit of wisdom. Fourth, there are three aspects to explaining the meaning of letters: the historical account, the actual explanation of the meaning, and the conclusion. First, from "Then" and so on. After teaching the training of the mind on letters, these words are spoken for the purpose of explaining the meaning of letters, because it shows the nature of all the Tathagatas. The second part is divided into two parts: the general explanation of the meaning of letters and the explanation of the forty-five specific meanings. The first part has four aspects: the greatness of letters, their nature, their function, and their etymology. The first part is divided into two aspects: letters are shown to be the nature of the three kayas, and they are shown to represent the three vajras. The first part has three aspects, first is showing the unconditioned Dharmakaya: A is emptiness, etc., one verse. The letter "A" is not only free from the extremes of emptiness and non-emptiness, but it is also not merely present in the union of the Middle Way, therefore it is free from all elaboration. As it says in the General Sutra: "Appearance and non-appearance, etc., all dualistic grasping are extremes, all knowers are not in the middle." Therefore, it is determined that all phenomena are merely the establishment of names, beyond the scope of thought and expression, because this is the determination of the nature of all Buddhas as the Dharmakaya. Therefore, its own sound, the wheel of the garland of letters itself, also abides in the nature of the Dharmakaya, without moving elsewhere. Second, showing the empowering Sambhogakaya: A itself is various, etc., one verse. The source of all letters, A itself opens up, appearing in various ways, is the power of the action of speech, appearing as forty-two, such as ka, etc., also including the tone, vowels, and consonants of speech, all these letters are gathered here. This is also the king who perfectly possesses the manifestation of the forty-two Buddhas, determining that it itself is the nature of the Sambhogakaya.

Third, displaying various dances as manifestations, there are three points. First, displaying as the speech of the manifestation: Emaho, wondrous, etc., one verse. Emaho! The wheel of the rows of letters is truly a rare and extremely marvelous place. Why is that? Upon the forty-two letters possessing great, inconceivable magical powers, adding three pervasive letters, this collection of forty-five gathers together, from which arise names that merely show the essence of meaning, and words that show the distinctions of meaning. These gatherings become the place that holds all forms of speech. Those to be tamed, the speech of the manifestation is vast, being various vehicles, and profound, the great meaning to be spoken, speaking before those to be tamed and showing it to others. Second, displaying as the mind of the manifestation: Non-existent, etc., two lines. At the very moment of appearing as letters, there is no real entity. Why? The nature of letters is mind itself. Just as the nature of mind is, so too is the nature of letters without two selves, and free from all extremes of elaboration, with nothing to be fixated upon in the realm of the mind, this is the secret of the mind. Third, displaying as the body of the manifestation: Shape and, etc., two lines. Although the nature of letters has no object of focus, the dance is unceasing, just as it is said in the General Sutra, "Ah, like a lion opening its mouth," etc., like that, the shapes of letters that are nominally established, and their colors also, depending on their differences, transform into various forms of essential names and words, like the seeds for creating deities from illusionary clouds, and the reflections of scriptures, etc., appearing in all ways as the dance of compassion, thus accomplishing the deeds of the manifestation and having the activity of showing. Second, showing them as symbols of the three vajras: Ten directions, four times, etc., one verse. All the Buddhas who go and abide in the ten directions and four times for the benefit of beings are also gathered into the forty-two deities of the mandala of the nature of wisdom and courage, made pervasive by pervasion, each of those has three pervasive body, speech, and mind, so the forty-two deities of the mandala together with the three pervasive ones gather into the nature of forty-five. Those are also the letters, head lines, dots, etc., pervasive.
