Furthermore, whatever actions are performed, all will result in outcomes contrary to what is desired, and various undesirable things will occur. In the future, one will involuntarily, like iron drawn to a magnet, experience various unpleasant consequences, such as the suffering of the Vajra Hell and the three lower realms. Third, regarding the limbs, etc., in two lines: if the vows of the limbs are broken, the fruits of practice will not be achieved, and in the future, one will fall into the three lower realms. Fifth, the nature of the vows: the vows, etc., the nature of the root and branch vows is the indivisible great vajra nature of body, speech, and mind. This is the essence of all Buddhas of the three times, the life force of all dharmas, and the most sacred of all disciplines. Sixth, the detailed explanation of the categories of vows is twofold: three hundred and sixty, and infinitely expansive. The first is the root vows, etc., in one verse. In this regard, the 'Detailed Explanation' says: 'From the root and branch, the one hundred and sixty of fifty and the two hundred to be protected, all must follow the teachings of both scripture and reasoning.' Therefore, the root vows are divided into one hundred and sixty, and the branch vows are divided into two hundred, totaling three hundred and sixty. Among these, for the five root vows, each is divided into two, method and wisdom, so there are ten. Then, each of the five root vows is divided into thirty, so there are one hundred and fifty. Adding the previous ten, there are a total of one hundred and sixty. The 'Detailed Explanation' also says: 'The so-called five branches, from the beginning, are method and wisdom, each has thirty to be protected.' The branch vows are two sets of five, that is, ten, and the way of dividing each is like ignorance, each internally divided into twenty, so there are two hundred. Thus, if one wishes to understand the meaning of each of the three hundred and sixty root and branch vows, one should consult the 'Detailed Explanation.' The second is this vow, etc., in one verse. These root and branch vows are extraordinary because they are different from other vows, as they benefit the beings of the six realms.
